I can’t say enough incredible things about my stay at Soulshine Bali—this place is truly something special. From the moment I arrived, it felt like stepping into a sanctuary where every detail is intentionally designed to nurture, restore, and inspire. One of the absolute highlights was actually getting to meet the legend himself... Michael Franti and his wife!! 🤩✨ That alone was such a cool and unexpected experience—it added a personal, soulful touch that made the whole trip even more memorable. What really sets Soulshine apart, though, is the people. The staff go above and beyond to create a space where you feel completely taken care of. A special thank you to Sila, Yuni, Intan, and Devi—your warmth, kindness, and attention made the entire week feel like a beautifully curated experience of care and luxury. You didn’t just provide service—you created connection. The design and aesthetics of the retreat are on another level—every corner is thoughtfully crafted, blending natural beauty with artistic detail. You can feel the love infused into the space, the culture, and the people. It’s not just a place you stay—it’s a place you feel. I had the most incredible time at Soulshine on the Leadership Immersion Retreat in February. I did not realise how much I needed the break and time to reflect. Soulshine is a truly magical place, from the smiles on the teams faces to the stunning views, beautiful spa and luxurious accommodation. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated with love. The team went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. I also loved meeting the people that are the heart and soul behind Soulshine. Thank you beautiful Intan, Sarah, Prisma, Agung and Michael. I will definitely see you all again soon. I highly recommend Soulshine as a venue for events or as a holiday destination. 4.5/5 stars Yoga Retreat Experience Stayed for a five-day yoga retreat and found the hotel very well suited to this purpose. The yoga / Pilates rooms have a natural breeze, ceiling fans, standing fans, mats, bolsters, blocks, straps, a good selection of hand weights, plus wooden calisthenics rings. Unfortunately, there were no yoga wheels, foam rollers, nor Pilates balls, but the overall setup worked very well. Panorama Suite We spent seven nights in a Panorama Suite on the ground floor of the larger main building. The suite was modern, stylish, spacious, with a comfortable sofa, choice of two pillows, an espresso machine, stacked bar, fridge, etc. Good lighting options, AC worked well. The bed was firm, but adding a topper made a big difference. The balcony is narrow but functional, with two seating options and a practical drying rack — perfect for morning coffee/tea or watching the sunset or moonrise. The natural soundtrack of birds, frogs, crickets, and stream added to the atmosphere. The view over the rice fields and palm trees was beautiful, though not truly panoramic from the ground floor, as the tree tops limit the outlook. The suites in this building are situated in a quieter area than the newer private pool rooms towards the front of the property. They are also closer to the largest yoga space. Bathroom & Amenities Spacious bathroom with a large shower and huge bathtub for two, pleasant‑smelling shower products, good lighting options, good bathrobes, fresh towels daily. Two sinks and more storage space would have been ideal. Pools & Facilities The pools and surrounding seating areas were lovely, and the water slide added a fun touch. We appreciated the many outdoor seating spaces throughout the property. All were comfortable and stylish. Each had a different vibe. Spa The spa facilities were very nice, with décor consistent with the rest of the resort. Treatments used natural products, including 100% coconut oil, which I liked. We booked a total of five massages during our stay — four were excellent, and one was a bit of a disappointment. Food & Dining We appreciated that all dishes are made from scratch with fresh produce grown on the property. Plenty of healthy options and generous portions. We ate all our meals except one at the main restaurant. I believe both restaurants have the same menu. Some dishes suited my taste very well, others less so — occasionally a bit greasy or sweeter than expected, perhaps reflecting a more US‑centric style and menu. The selection of classic Indonesian dishes on the menu was nice. Loved the fresh tropical fruit platter at breakfast and for dessert. The kitchen was excellent at adapting meals for allergies, vegetarian or vegan diets, and other special requirements. This was greatly appreciated. Clear dietary labels and free water refills were helpful. The outdoor seating of the main restaurant had a beautiful view overlooking the property. Indoor seating was air-conditioned, but not overly so as is often the case. The smaller outdoor restaurant and bar overlooks a more intimate pool area and is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. Service & Staff Staff were all very friendly and tried their best to be helpful. Not everyone spoke English fluently, which is understandable. Restaurant service could be slow at times. Other times all the courses arrived at once. Atmosphere & Extras Music throughout the property added a nice touch. The owners were warm and welcoming, and the short song‑and‑dance with the staff on Wednesdays and Fridays added to the positive vibe of the resort. Technology & Communication The app‑based room key was the main inconvenience. Although it had some nice touches, it didn’t always work reliably and required several re‑registrations. With no phone in the room, it was usually quicker to walk to the front desk. We acquired a more convenient room key instead of using the app. Overall, A very enjoyable stay — excellent for yoga, healthy meals, relaxing surroundings, and a welcoming atmosphere, with only a few areas that could be refined. I would gladly return.
