An utterly incredible stay. From the moment we arrived, Capella Ubud made clear that every detail — no matter how small — had been considered with extraordinary care. The team was wonderful: attentive, warm, and effortlessly thoughtful at every step. It is the kind of hospitality that makes you feel genuinely looked after. The experience itself was nothing short of magical. Set within the rainforest, every moment felt deeply intentional — from the design of the tents to the gentle rhythm of the day. There were quiet pauses where time seemed to slow, where we found ourselves simply taking it all in. That, to us, is the highest luxury. What sets Capella apart is how seamlessly the setting, service, and spirit of the place speak a single language. The attention to detail — from the thoughtful touches in the tent to the way each experience unfolds — reflects a team that is deeply, genuinely proud of what they create together. A very special thank you to Christian Jaquier and the team, whose warmth and thoughtfulness throughout our stay made an already exceptional experience feel truly personal. You made us feel completely at ease and wonderfully cared for. We will absolutely be back.

It was my first time in Bali, and I had a truly memorable experience. We planned this trip to recharge, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. We stayed at Valley Tent, No. 27 The Panther, located in the middle of the valley, which gave us a real sense of peace and privacy. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, especially considering they are set in the middle of the forest. Being surrounded by the sounds of nature made the whole experience feel truly worth it. We were warmly welcomed in traditional Balinese style by Reena, our camp host, and a special thank you to Ayu, the resort’s culturalist, who guided us from the moment we arrived and was always there to assist. Everything felt smooth and effortless because of her. We had breakfast at MADS LANGE and it was such a beautiful start to the day. Our table overlooked the pool and coconut trees, creating a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Era took great care of us throughout the meal, thank you. For a first-time visitor, I highly recommend taking a walk to the temple right after breakfast. It's the perfect time to go. We also enjoyed the complimentary evening cocktails. Great drinks and a lovely setting. I especially loved the tent’s interior design. It felt both stylish and cozy. On our second night, we had dinner at API JIWA, which was a standout experience. The multi-course menu felt like an intimate chef’s table, with each dish prepared individually by the chefs. The concept beautifully blends Japanese grilling with Balinese root cuisine. I didn't catch all the staff’s names, but their attentiveness really stood out. You could feel the care in every detail. The cocktails we ordered were also excellent. We checked out quite early but the team thoughtfully prepared a breakfast box for us to take along. I'd also like to mention Pasek, our driver, and the rest of the team who remembered our names. It was such a small touch but it meant a lot. This definitely will not be our only visit. We are already planning to come back and stay longer next time!

Our third Capella experience and just as beautiful as the prior! We have been visiting Bali since the 1990s for my partner, and the two of us for over 10 years, and Capella Bali is in our favourite area of Ubud, a beautiful jungle setting, and as a Bill Bensley property (we have stayed in many all over Asia), literally every corner is photogenic and detail oriented. The omakase dinner at Api Jiwa was a great experience, our tent was gorgeous, the gym also stunning and we always had it to ourselves, beautiful cistern pool, great massages, and wonderful staff, including the GM Christian. Tea and cocktail hour in the Officers Tent were great experiences (complete with pool table!) - our only regret is that we could have had better weather as the Sun finally stayed out on our final day, of departure!
