We went for one week at iGV Club Santa Clara. The place where it's located is a paradise in earth, and who knows Sardegna knows what I'm talking about. The Club is very well cured with wonderful gardens, two swimming pools, and a small private beach at a 10 minutes walk. If you have small kids or toddlers this is the place. They have a baby kindergarten that works 24/7 and the high quality standard of food and service makes all the families relax and enjoy their stay. The food was excellent and healthy, and the services are top level. You can find a small shop, a SPA, and also the possibility of daily tours organized by an excellent team. For us it was the diamond of the holiday!!. IGV also gives a daily entertainment that goes from shows, to games to sports. This allows you to choose what type of holiday you want. An excellent stay and for sure we'll be choosing the Grandi Viaggi in the future.

“Excellent family holiday with some areas of improvement.”

This has been our third experience at the iGV clubs in Italy and I must say that, all in all, it has been very satisfactory. This has been our third experience at the iGV clubs in Italy and I must say that, all in all, it has been very satisfactory. We stayed with our children of 11 and 9 years old and they did not want to leave! Very good value for the money spent - which was 40% cheaper than normal prices as GV are aggressively attacking the resorts markets. If we had paid the full price, this review would therefore be more severe, especially regarding: - the rooms dated decor, even though perfectly clean and functional, with a beautiful terrace - we had two interconnecting rooms, with sea view, on second floor; - the food; I would say, less would be more in this case, more than ever: less choice but more quality, especially at breakfast where the cappuccino coming from the bar was a great surprise, but spoilt later by the low-cost jam choice, nutella, orange juice. Not a great choice and pretty low quality on savoury food. No Parma ham, only cotto and not of the best quality; same for the salami. Lunch and dinner were very good for salads and second courses. Pasta was often disappointing, especially if compared to Le Castella in Calabria where pasta dishes, cooked by the minute, was a real feast. Desserts could also be more genuine and 'homemade'. All in all, there was always something nice to eat, so the whole family enjoyed the meals. But this is a clear area of improvement. The best things of this resort are in my opinion: - Sports: excellent facilities for all sports, managed by very professional and motivating people, extremely well organised despite the number of participants. My son could enjoy a very exciting Inter-Milan football course and sailing lessons together with archery with my daughter too. She also took swimming, tennis and hip-hop dance lessons. Everything at very good standards. - Shows and animation in general: live band was great, headed by a very enthused capo villaggio :-). We are not very keen on villaggi in general and, especially, on after-dinner entertainment which is very often a pain. The staff in Santaclara was however very prepared, extremely hard-working and professional. We had never seen such a high standard like we did for the Notre Dame de Paris show! Sung live and danced beautifully. Well done to everyone!! - Staff: wherever there was contact with people working in this resort, it was a very good experience. They are all very kind, very punctual and helpful despite their constant work and huge physical effort. The heads of the Junior club and Mini club were marvellous with our kids. They let them join activities freely and get off to join us parents with no issues, but they were always handed them to us with great care on safety. The reception was also very, very efficient. We bought the platinum card, which was very worthwhile for the beach (front row), the restaurant (fixed table) and the early check-in and late check-out which made us enjoy one full day before leaving, which paid back its cost (300 euros per week). - Gardens: the combination of different plants and flowers was fantastic and all grounds are pristinely attended and a real joy to the eye. - Beach: we were until the last minute uncertain whether to come to this resort because of all the reviews saying how small and crowded this beach was. Knowing Sardinia pretty well and having been to Santagiusta, where the beach and sea were marvellous, we did not want to miss out on one of the main reasons one travels to this destination! Well, we really liked the wilderness of this beach, the clearness of the water and its very Sardinian feel! It is not small; it is not wide, but the length is typical of Northern Sardinia. The best times to enjoy it were early morning and late afternoon. The wind and the sun made the rest: great moments! My only criticism is about the organisation of sports activities right in the middle of it. I would move them in front of the sailing centre, so that people who are not interested, are not disturbed. - Excursions: the organiser of trips is very nice and helpful. It is very much worthwhile to visit the area around as La Maddalena and the gulf are full of fantastic and unique places. Whether you want to sail or go with a fast boat, the choice is there and it is great! So, all in all, bravi Grandi Viaggi! We loved it. But you need to work more to deserve the 5 dots!
