We stayed for 2 weeks in October. The food options were superb and we tried all the we restaurants which were faultless. It was good to see that you couldn’t leave towels booking sun beds. Our preference was at the beach. The evening entertainment was superb with the bands having good vocals. Every evening this was well attended. We booked a 3 hour private boat trip which we recommend doing. All in all I can’t recommend this hotel more highly.

“A perfect holiday experience”

Our first experience with the Liberty Lykia Resort was 20 – 27 October 2025. Our choice of this resort for our late-summer holiday was the result of the glowing recommendation of a close friend who stayed at this resort earlier this year. Her high praise for Liberty Lykia proved to be entirely justified. SIDE NOTE: If you are like me – i.e., pale white skin – and you melt like ice cream on the pavement if day-time temperatures exceed 32 – 33(C) degrees, then planning your stay at Liberty Lykia in mid-October might be an ideal solution. During the day, the temperatures hovered between 26 – 28(C) and dropped to a breezy 18 – 20(C) in the evenings, ideal for sitting outdoors with a sweater or dinner jacket. There was a bit of rain here & there, but nothing to spoil our holiday. My first, perhaps subjective or less tangible observation is that the owners and managers of this resort clearly hold themselves and their employees to the highest standards of hospitality professionalism. Unlike many European / North American establishments with similar profiles and clientele, I never once received a pass-the-potato response from any staff member. I never heard: ‘Please talk to X’ or any other version of ‘It’s not my job.’ This alone made our stay extremely enjoyable. If you ask a question, you get as full an answer as could be reasonably expected from that employee’s level and function. The desk / reception staff all speak excellent English and, to our pleasant surprise, at least four members of the front desk speak nearly fluent Russian. The restaurants and the food were top-drawer. In addition to the main restaurant, there are other, equally entrancing options. As a logistical matter, there are two separate resort complexes that mirror each other: one is ‘for adults only’ as advertised; the second is for families with young children. Guests of the ‘for adults only’ resort have badge access to the families-orientated resort, but not the reverse. Several of the ‘theme’ restaurants are located at the other resort complex, but within easy walking distance. The swimming pools at the ‘for adults only’ resort are more than adequate to accommodate sunworshippers. If there are no available chaises longues at the main pool, there are always other options, including at the water’s edge. The beach is pebbly, but the resort cleverly installed a sandy strip along the entire water’s edge to provide the sand-underfoot effect that makes sunbathing at a beach so special. More small details that had a direct impact on our experience: (1) My wife is the fussiest person that I know, perhaps on this planet, when it comes to maintaining a neat and tidy home. This aspect of our stay was superb. The cleaning staff passed muster, and then some, with my spouse. (2) I am – only temporarily, I fervently pray – confined to a wheelchair. I can vouch unreservedly for the wheelchair-friendly terrain of the resort compounds. My wife preferred the faux sandy beach to the pool areas; given my mobility issues, the front desk happily drove us down to the beach in a golf cart and collected us as soon as we were ready to call it a day. Responsive and friendly service. The ultimate praise for our stay at Liberty Lykia (adults only) is that we are definitely coming back next year. With any luck, we’ll be able to bring one or two family members with us.

“Really magical holiday”

We stayed at this amazing hotel from 6th September for a week. The first thing to say is how relaxing it was. Plenty of sun beds and pools to chose from. No rush to find your perfect spot. Beautiful mountain scenery, a shaded beach bar amongst the trees to sip a delicious range of quality cocktails… more

We stayed at this amazing hotel from 6th September for a week. The first thing to say is how relaxing it was. Plenty of sun beds and pools to chose from. No rush to find your perfect spot. Beautiful mountain scenery, a shaded beach bar amongst the trees to sip a delicious range of quality cocktails etc. Great choice of delicious food served by hard working, friendly staff. We had a forest view room and didn't miss a sea view at all. The gardens are stunning. Room spacious and clean with lovely supply of soaps etc. Hardly ventured up to the family side and wish we had longer to experience the many activities available. Plenty of trips on offer. The para gliding is mesmerising. Thankyou everybody at Lykia for a really special holiday x

The location is a real plus, just 45 minutes from Dalaman Airport by private transfer, which makes the journey easy and stress‑free. On arrival, though, the first impression was underwhelming. The hotel feels tired and in need of both external and internal redecoration. It was also clear that the property wasn’t fully ready for season opening, with decorating and building works still taking place. The staff, however, are a credit to the hotel. They work tirelessly and consistently to deliver good service, which really helps balance some of the shortcomings in the facilities. Our room was fine overall: the bed was comfortable and the facilities adequate. That said, the upgrade to a sea view didn’t feel worth the extra cost. Food in the restaurant was plentiful, tasted good and typical buffet style, but unfortunately often lukewarm or cold. On the positive side, the inclusion of premium branded drinks was appreciated. A shout out to Gaye in the lobby bar you’re an absolute star! along with Spongbob who has such an infectious personality what’s not to like! But for us the entertainment was noticeably lacking, which was surprising considering this is adults‑only 5* property that was already open to guests. We booked a Turkish bath during our stay. The therapist delivered a lovely treatment, but the spa setting felt quite flat and didn’t create the calming ambience we were hoping for. Given the cost, the experience fell short of expectations. I know there are many returning guests, and while I can see the attraction, it feels as though management may have become a little complacent, relying too much on loyal repeat visitors. It’s first‑time guests they need to impress, and sadly, the experience didn’t live up to the reviews that initially encouraged us to book. Overall: This hotel has so much potential thanks to its location and hardworking staff, but at present it falls short of the luxury standard it promotes. With refurbishment, improved food quality, and proper entertainment, it could become a stronger choice. For us, though, the reality was an untrue reflection of the reviews we read, and unfortunately, we will not return.
