The resort has a wonderful view of the beach. All staff are friendly and welcoming. Food is good as well. We were given butler services and they were great and very helpful. They gave us a rundown of daily activities in the resort and is very helpful in things we needed. They have a skyview on the 8th floor where you can watch the sunset and have free snacks and coffee/tea. The hotel just looks dated but with a little sprucing up it’ll look good.

“Pretty but Noisy and not quite as advertised”

Pros: The beach is lovely. There were usually enough loungers and umbrellas to find seating down by the beach. The room my husband and I shared was spacious; a large one bedroom , with sofa bed in the living area as well as the bedroom. It also had two full baths, a plus. The shower off the bedroom was very large. There were two quite small sitting areas outside. These overlooked the children’s play area. There were two TV’s, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. There was a very small kitchenette area with a bar fridge, a small microwave, a coffee maker, a two burner hot plate, and a small sink. The dining table sat six and was fully laid out with dishes, stemware and flatware. The staff were generally very friendly and helpful. There was daily maid service if wanted. There are bus stops and restaurants very nearby. Cons: This resort is noisy. The open lobby houses a small bar area off to the right as you enter. From midday to late night, the whole lobby was loud. Upon checking in we asked for a quiet room, preferably not on the first floor or off the atrium , as we’d read reviews of how noisy it could be. It didn’t happen. As long time Timeshare owners who were in Mexico for an extended period, we did not choose the All Inclusive option for the week we were there. However one of the dining rooms was directly across from our room on the first floor. It was an open, unwalled space with the atrium reaching up to the eighth floor. The entrance to many rooms were off that space. The noise from the dining area, the music, the kitchen (about eight feet from our room) and the staff began at 5 AM and continued until about midnight; it was amplified because of the design of the space. Our Concierge Alberto, who was very friendly, said if we wanted to have the kitchenette that we booked, it had to be that room. He convinced us it wasn’t going to be noisy. He was wrong. In the evenings there was frequently a musical “show” in the amphitheatre just down the hill behind our room. We watched one or two, but regardless of whether we wanted to, we heard the music for hours from that direction as well. The one small pool area was very busy, rarely could find a seat. There was an area by the pool with sofas, umbrellas and chairs that were for resort owners only. The same was true for the canopy beds and special seating on the beach. Out on the beach it was peaceful for the early part of the morning. But by 11:00 the music from the bordering resort next door began in earnest and got louder as the day continued. The kitchenette write-up stated a three quarter sized fridge with freezer (it wasn’t), and a convection microwave (it wasn’t), which was quite misleading. There were no dish cloths, towels or soap for the kitchen. They did supply soap when requested. There was one hand towel for two bathrooms. The rooms are mostly clean but dated, including the linens which were well worn. The bed was very soft. There are no laundry facilities at the resort or nearby. There was a gym, which we used daily, in a small, hard to find room buried in a very warm space on a second floor. The air conditioning was not very effective and the equipment didn’t always work correctly. For those who are looking for a party atmosphere and don’t mind the noise, this may work for you. This is not a relaxing resort or great for families.
