We booked for the eclipse and paid around $500 per night. I understand surge pricing. Our room had a queen bed with a window that looked out to a wall which was decorated with artificial plants. It made it better than looking at a flat wall. I asked for a different room and was offered one by the pool. I thought it would be noisy. Not the case. The pool wasn’t heated so no one used the pool. The facility in general was well maintained. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Didn’t have noise issue with bar upstairs since we arrived on Sunday and left on Wednesday. They did provide ear plugs. Did the booking through Booking.com and they lost the booking on their web site and app. Luckily I had the confirmation number in my TripIt app and was able to confirm with hotel Pool needs to be heated in winter. The morning temperatures were in the 60s warming up to 70s. There are some restaurants around hotel but not a lot. You are very far from downtown.

The staff at the hotel during the busy solar eclipse week worked very hard to be welcoming and helpful. The nightclub pounding music till 2 or 3 am above our room each night was ridiculous esp bc we never saw anyone going to it. The management never responded to requests to move or notified us that there is a club that plays loud music with pounding beats each night till the early morning hours. We should have been provided a partial refund for the horrendous noise and disruption if they were not willing to move us. When we checked out the staff informed us they charge for the water bottles provided in the refrigerator in our room that we used but don’t provide potable safe drinking water to guests from outside of Mexico. The staff said they would share this with management bc they didn’t know hotels typically provide two free bottles of water each day.
