We stayed here at the first stop on honeymoon while we explored Cape Town. The hotel was tucked away in a quieter area with incredible views. The room was very nice and opened right up to the pool that overlooked Camps Bay. There was no breakfast, but that was totally fine as we wanted to spend most of our time out exploring and trying local restaurants and the manager was extremely helpful with a lot of recommendations. She even helped us plan some of our wine tours since the Winelands were our next stop.

“Amazing views and great service”

Fabulous apartment with small kitchenette. Main bedroom was amazing, huge bathroom, beautiful view. Our 2 girls shared a small bedroom at the back, the bed was a small double which was not ideal but they coped. Pool was lovely, chilly but fine once you were in. Fabulous apartment with small kitchenette. Main bedroom was amazing, huge bathroom, beautiful view. Our 2 girls shared a small bedroom at the back, the bed was a small double which was not ideal but they coped. Pool was lovely, chilly but fine once you were in. Views of Camps Bay could not be bettered, location was perfect for us, quiet and views to die for, but you needed to drive to restaurants. No breakfast but we had our kitchen which was fine. Very friendly and helpful manager and owners. A perfect hybrid between apartment and hotel.

My wife and I stayed in the Meerlust suite for 8 nights and I have to say it is absolutely stunning. The room was beautiful and boasts an expansive floor plan with a large baclony. There is a gorgeous infinity pool and the views over Camps Bay and Lions Head are spectacular by day and night. It's a quick Uber ride down to the main strip in Camps Bay or the city for restaurants and sightseeing. Elri is super helpful and on hand with any advice you may need. You will not be disappointed!

“Great Stay but Disappointing Experience”

My husband and I enjoyed a week long stay here. The views were nice, the rooms were okay, and the area was quiet. The property manager was attentive; however, we had a very disturbing situation occur with the property’s owner. They advertise the opportunity to catch a shuttle to attend a safari tour with one of their partners for an additional fee. We booked this excursion along with about 9 other relatives. Since the safari reserve is about 1.5hrs from cb one, you must take a shuttle from the property very early in the morning. Our family arrived in front of cb one, one by one around 5am to wait for the shuttle. It was a considerably cold morning, so instead of making them wait outside, we told them to go wait in the lobby/lounge area. It’s early- they were all understandably still tired as they waited quietly in the lobby. The shuttle was also very late picking us up. However, before the shuttle arrived, a white South African woman approached them in a robe and was very irate… yelling that they were not welcomed and telling them they could not sleep there. She was extremely rude and aggressive as if my family members were homeless squatters trying to take over their property. No one was loud, and they were all dressed normal with their items simply resting and waiting in the safari shuttle. She then antagonized them asking who they had stayed with over night, and repeatedly questioned them about why they were there, ignoring their explanations that they were waiting on the shuttle. As one of my family members came to get us, this woman followed my family member back up the stairs still fussing her out demanding that she answer her questions. She then realized they were telling the truth and tried to apologize. However, it was blatantly obvious that she had stereotyped my family immediately as Black people taking over her property. Her rage left no room for civil conversation and the experience put a significant stain on what was a beautiful vacation!!!! Even more disturbing is that despite the host being a generally kind woman, she attempted to justify the owners behavior saying that she did not have her coffee yet and that they’d had “experiences” in the past of unwanted people being on the property. She didn’t offer ways to make the situation better or to comp us for such a horrible experience. She was blind to how horrible her partner and owner’s behavior was. We, then, were reminded of where we were and the history that plagued the area, which in that moment, fueled the lack of proper customer service and poor justification for the partner’s blatant disrespect to our family and us. As Black people, we go through enough in the states. The last thing we’d want is to also go through these things on vacation. We were very disappointed with Cb one’s response and had higher expectations of them that fell short.
