The hotel is very central, about 5 mins walk to the beach less to the centre .We arrived at 12.00 and could check in but the room was not ready. We went off for lunch as we expected the check in at 3pm. The room no 22 was spotless , a lovely balcony with sunloungers and a view of the sea and mountains . What impressed us was the silence of the hotel .. It was full but peaceful. All public rooms were very clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a delightful experience .... everything continental cold meats cheese breads yoghurt fruit etc etc. .. and freshly made tea and coffee. .. Bliss ... well worth another visit

“Lovely hotel in the centre of Las Negras village”

We have stayed here twice this summer because it's a great hotel only about 2 minutes from the beach. Considering Las Negras is a small village in the middle of a natural park, this hotel feels very well organised and good quality (although no cash point on site and none available in the village). … more

We have stayed here twice this summer because it's a great hotel only about 2 minutes from the beach. Considering Las Negras is a small village in the middle of a natural park, this hotel feels very well organised and good quality (although no cash point on site and none available in the village). The pool area is lovely, and sun loungers were always available. The breakfast was good with lots of choice and fresh coffee (only one gripe - we were a little annoyed when this was cleared away at 10:45 even though breakfast didn't finish until 11:00am!). Hotel staff were mostly friendly and helpful. Our rooms have always been comfortable with great terraces. Would definitely recommend!

My adult niece and I came to Cala Chica for a three-day beach escape. We are adult professional women. The hotel is clean and well built. Our room was approximately the quality which I saw on the website---good quality materials and very clean with a lovely balcony. The bathroom has pleasant materials and works well with good water and quality fixtures. The beds are comfortable. Breakfast is poitively wonderful. The hotel has personality. We were the only non Spanish. Other guests were couples, young people and families. Everyone was pleasant. I recommend the hotel. Also to note, i recommend the boat trips to San Pedro, a pretty hippie beach, and the excursion for 25 euro per person was well worth the money. Juan "rubio" did a nice job with the boat tour. The town Las Negras is a quiet hippie town in September. The locals seem a little tired and worn out, and we have not found anything to do except swim, but the hotel is very nice.

The hotel was ok but for the price we paid it could have been better (stains in bathroom, very little room for clothes, no bedside draw). The balcony was nice and had good views. The pool area was excellent but the pool had so much chlorine in it that it burnt your eyes. In general the staff (especially the breakfast staff) were very friendly and helpful but we had a horrible experience with the girl working in the chiringuito (pool bar) on the Wednesday evening: we approached the bar and said hello but she totally ignored us while she was preparing a drink. We waited about another 2-3 minutes at the bar about 3 metres long and noone else around) but she made no eye contact or acknowledged our presence despite me doing the whole 'fake cough' thing. We gave up and went to the room. Later on we decided to grab a mojito by the pool before we met friends for dinner, same waitress was there and she seemed annoyed by our order, she made the worst mojito ever (forgot the sugar) and went back to rolling cigarettes with a friend who had dropped in to keep her company. The other groups around struggled to get her attention as she was iimersed in conversation/cigarette rolling -smoking with her buddy. She seemed to think she was way too cool to be working in a hotel bar. I'd like to point out that the rest of the staff were efficient and friendly. In general it was ok but for the price paid we would expect more and the rude waitress put us in a bad mood and ruined our night. El hotel está bien pero bastante caro por lo que es. Había manchas en la ducha y poquísimo sitio para guardar la ropa etc, etc. Las empleadas del lugar, en general, muy simpáticas y atentas pero la chica trabajando en el chiringuito el miércoles fue super borde con nosotros y ni siquiera nos miraba cuando llegamos al bar, no había nadie más en la barra pero pasaba olímpicamente de nosotros. Más tarde hicimos otro intento para pedir un mojito y esta vez si nos atendió....pero con una desgana increíble. Parece que nuestra presencia fue un estorbo para ella. Eso sí, se ponía morao de liar tabaco y charlar con su colega. Ah....fue el peor mojito que he probado en mi vida (creo que se olvidó de poner el azúcar). Lo dicho, las demás chicas muy simpáticas sobre todo la chica de recepción al salir del hotel pero no sé si volveríamos a quedar en cala chica....una pena.
