The dining area was clean, and the staff ensured everything ran smoothly, making it a great start to the day. Reception Staff: 5 out of 5 - The reception staff were friendly and efficient. Location: 5 out of 5 - The hotel is conveniently located next to train and bus stations, and just a 15-20 minute walk from the beach. It’s easy to access the town with a short bus or train ride, or even a pleasant walk. Hotel Pool: 5 out of 5 - The pool is a good size with a lifeguard on duty most of the time. Rooms: 4.5 out of 5 - The rooms come in various sizes to suit different groups, with marble floors, adequate balconies, and clean, tiled bathrooms. Fresh towels, soap, and shampoo were provided. The shower was good but could use a new shower head. There was only one plug socket in an awkward place, but overall, the cleanliness was excellent. The safe is available for a fee, which is understandable. Lift: The lifts were clean and well-maintained, with two small lifts that didn’t creak as some reviews mentioned. Noise: The walls are a little thin, so sometimes you can hear the neighbors in the adjacent room. Cleanliness: The hotel always smelled fresh, contrary to some reviews, and the cleaners did a great job. Entertainment: The entertainment was good, especially the Spanish flamenco show. I can’t comment on other activities as I was often out, but the salsa dancing at the hotel was enjoyable to watch. Room Service: The cleaners were very good, friendly, and did a great job. Dining Area: Breakfast was very organized with a good selection. Swimming Pool and Outdoor Area: The pool and outdoor areas were very clean and well-organized, with good seating and sunbathing areas. Outside Bar: The outside bar was good. Proximity to Transport: The hotel is near the station and buses. Overall Value: Excellent. I don’t understand the complaints from others. The building fits well with the area, and the hotel is very clean with great staff in reception, cleaning, and dining areas. If you want to spend a little less, don’t need to be in the noisy center, and are happy with a short walk, bus, or train ride to town, then I recommend this hotel. It’s nice to get away from the busy noise of the town and come back to a well-organized, clean hotel 15 to 20 minutes from the center, or a short bus or train ride from Malaga or Fuengirola. It’s not a 5-star hotel, but I’d rate it 3.5 to 4 stars. However, it deserves 5 stars for cleanliness, attentive staff, and the entertainment provided. It’s quick and easy to get to town. It’s 100% better than a Travelodge, although they might have better beds. My bed was comfortable, though not the best, but certainly not bad. Rating: 4.5 out of 5 - I would come back again. This is my honest review - I can’t understand the negative reviews. I arrived in September, which might be less busy than August, but you expect that. The hotel was fresh, very clean, with a modern bathroom, a good selection of rooms, adequate balconies, and near good transport links or a short walk to town. 4.5 out of 5. I wish all the staff every success as they work hard to meet the customers’ needs. I don’t agree with most of the negative reviews as I only experienced an organized, fresh, clean, friendly hotel on the outskirts of town delivering great service and excellent value for money. I recommend this hotel for solo, couples. Families. People moan no free WiFi, you have to paycamall fee, this is a business and if you are in holiday use this time for rest and relaxation, if you go to town you will find places offering. WiFi but sometimes good to switch of and enjoy life. I found the spanish friendly and if you respect them and try to learn some of the language they will helo you, also respect culture the Siesta time as people rest, schools, some shops and businesses and Visitors from other countries must respect this time, British people often don't respect and this gives the UK where I am from a bad reputation, we must respect. Spaniish people are very social and the UK needs to adapt to being less fast paced and more social.

“Good holiday until the end....”

I've had a good holiday at Royal Costa. For a 3 star hotel, it's good value. Food choice was adequate for a 3 star and I always found something I enjoyed. Drink selection was good too. I've had a good holiday at Royal Costa. For a 3 star hotel, it's good value. Food choice was adequate for a 3 star and I always found something I enjoyed. Drink selection was good too. Pool was good, water wasn't freezing! There was always plenty of sun loungers too. Rooms are dated yes but mine was clean and the bed/pillow was comfortable. Air con was a life saver! Jose at the pool bar works extremely hard and was a pleasure. He was always cleaning tables and serving on his own 90% of the time until the evening staff started, he's a credit to the team. Thank you Jose! All staff I came into contact with were polite and always smiled, apart from the reception team. Whilst they were always polite, they didn't look happy at all and they're the first people you come across to start your holiday. The disappointment came at the end, which makes writing the review even more frustrating as the holiday has been a positive one..... I checked out at 11am, check out time is 12 and put my case in the lugagge room. My flight was a late one so my transfer was 7pm. I walked into the buffet at 1pm for lunch and the waiter stopped me after giving him my room number and cut my all inclusive band off, told me my food and drink had to be paid for now. I went to reception to discuss it as my flight was late, what do I do for the rest of the day? The guy on the desk couldn't care less, just gave me that look of it's not his problem. I fly frequently and always all inclusive and this is the first hotel I've ever experienced that cut your wristband off, I've even stayed in 2 star hotels where they've let you keep your wristband. I understand check out is 12 but if your all inclusive stops at that time, any hotel that adopts this approach should make it clear when booking. If this information was clear at the time, I could have either selected an earlier flight or kept the later one with the understanding that I'd only have breakfast included. Perhaps I've been lucky at all of the previous hotels I've stayed in, but this is the first time I've ever experienced this. At the very least, allowing me to have lunch would have gone a long way.
