“Just Lovely”

What a great little hotel run by locals and well worth a visit! Very friendly staff, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds. As Rapita is a quiet retreat! Hostel Can PEP is just lovely and great value for money! Need I say more!

This hostel have the best value for the money in the area. Calm, near the beach, with a sympathetic hostess and a good Spanish breakfast for a fair price. Its easy to get there by car, from Palma, and is also easy to drive from there to the north coast, and to serra da tramutana as well. The rooms were clean when I arrived. The room doesn't have conditioned air, but has a celling fun, that is better than nothing. Near the hostal there is lots of restaurants, so you don't need a car to go eating. I had a relaxing experience in the city.

“Good location, clean and spacious apartment but had cockroaches in.”

We stayed in the apartment 1D on the ground floor. The property was clean, modern and spacious. It was close to the beach (15 minute walk). Sa Rapita is a charming little village with good amenities. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and in the wardrobe in the master bedroom. We bought a spray that killed these within two nights. We were told by the staff that this is normal in Majorca. However, I would expect the property would take care of that before our arrival. The cockroaches were on the walls and floors. I found one on our bedsheets in the morning. It really made me uncomfortable. We did not unpack our suitcases to put the stuff into the wardrobe. As for the facilities, there were aircon units in each room but we were told that these didn't work. It was really hot during the night. The fridge took about a day to cool down. Also, the freezer door was broken. Apart from that the facilities were good (in the kitchen, we used the fridge and the washing machine). The apartment was on the ground floor and it was loud at night and early in the morning. We arrived at the time when the festival took place and it was very loud. The music was played live just outside the apartment until 3 am in the morning for 2 nights in a row. It was difficult to sleep.

We stayed there for a week. Location is very close to the sea, but the beach is rocky so if you don't like that you have to go to the other beaches. We had a car so it was good location because the beaches on the east side of Mallorca are smaller, so beautiful without big hotels. The lobby and sympathic lady who recieved us was friendly local but with poor english. The room was on the 2nd floor with a view of the sea. Room was clean and tidy but the the shower was old with nasty, rough surface. The room was cleaned every day. Wifi doesn't work in the room either in 1st floor but works in ground floor where the lobby is. Very nice thing is good massage chair, you can use it for free. We didn't get better apartment for that money in high season.
