We have just returned from a 7-night stay at Atlantic Holiday Hotel and had a fantastic holiday. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was only around £40 extra per person and was definitely worth it. The room was huge, with very comfortable beds, cooking facilities, a beautiful sea view, and our own sunbeds on the balcony, which made it easy to enjoy some peace and quiet away from the pool area. Check-in was quick and easy, and all of the staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout our stay. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were provided whenever needed. We were all-inclusive and were very happy with the food. We’re not particularly fussy eaters, but there was plenty of choice for everyone. Each evening had a different theme, and we especially enjoyed the Mexican and Asian nights. The buffet isn’t enormous, but there was always enough variety and everything we tried was enjoyable. There were also chips, pasta and chicken nuggets available for children or picky eaters. The pool area was clean and well maintained. The pool is salt water, which wasn’t an issue for us. There were always plenty of sunbeds available, although it’s worth noting that the sun doesn’t reach the beds closest to the hotel until around 11:30am, so the sunbeds nearer the sea are best if you want morning sunshine. We also enjoyed the games room by the pool, which has a pool table and table tennis. Entertainment is fairly low-key, which suited us perfectly. There were activities such as yoga, aqua gym and children’s activities during the day, plus a guitarist/singer performing on a couple of evenings in the restaurant. The location is quiet and away from the busier tourist areas, which we really liked. However, the 471 bus is very cheap and makes it easy to travel through Costa Adeje, Siam Park and Playa de las Américas. There are also a few restaurants and supermarkets nearby for anything you need. We walked to the beach, although there weren’t any sunbeds there during our visit. One thing we would recommend is walking down onto the rocks by the sea, where we spotted several crabs. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would happily return. If you’re looking for a relaxed, friendly hotel with great sea views, good food and easy access to the rest of Tenerife, Atlantic Holiday Hotel is an excellent choice.

Just returned from a fantastic week in Tenerife. Would stay here again, I really liked it. I had read a few negative comments beforehand but I found the overall experience as really good one. The food was nice with loads of choice - and yes may get a bit 'samey' if you were there for a couple of weeks. Different themed nights in the restaurant to mix it up a bit. All inclusive includes little ice cream pots for kids. Some stuff is chargeable like premium ice creams etc, you can charge to your room and pay when you check out. The rooms/bathrooms are immaculate. Pool area nice vibe to it. Entertainment on site consists of the odd singer and the entertainment girl who does yoga, dart, aqua etc. Pool bar staff very friendly. Small gym, kids play room, pool table etc dart board which is a pain because certain parents don't watch their kids, my grandson almost got hit by a dart due to kids messing around. The area is a good, just up the road there are bars, restaurants and takeaways, supermarket etc. I think you can come here self catering but we were all inclusive. Nice views from the hotel. Sun doesn't come to the pool area until after 11am it's quite cool until then, the roof terrace etc is in the sun before then. The lifeguard will remove towels if left so you are ever short of a sunbed. We went in half term and we always managed to get four beds together. Big shout to the reception staff. The last day they couldn't do enough. The will give you a free courtesy room (sadly we didn't have one as they were booked up) but there is an indoor shower to use to get ready before you leave. If you want a courtesy room I suggest booking in early. The all inclusive is valid until you leave the hotel to go home so no need to buy drinks etc. Just a note there is a short walk down to the hotel when the bus drops you off. Also mobility scooters are available to rent from reception.

Spent a week at this hotel with my wife and 11 years old daughter in the school holiday at the end of May 26 through Jet 2. Had a nice holiday but the hotel is a little tired. Light fixture hanging off within the pool bar, hand rail within the pool area corroded at the bottom of the posts, the sun umbrellas stunk. Transfer didint take too long, around 40mins. You get dropped off about 100m from the hotel down a slight slope. Arrived in the evening on Sunday, reception staff was friendly and helpful. Got given 3 bottles of water, which could be refilled from the water machine in the snack bar and gym, which is next to the pool bar, would not recommend drinking the tap water. 2 lifts. We had a room on the 2nd floor overlooking the beach, lovely view. Large room with a kitchen, large bed and a pull out sofa bed. No aircon which was a surprise for a 4 star. Had a fan which was a little noisy and didn’t really give out much air. Restaurant was good, not the biggest but the food was generally ok and warm if not the biggest selection. Never had a problem getting a seat, a lot of people seem to be self catering so the restaurant wasn’t that busy, however on the last day more people seem to be all inclusive and the restaurant was a lot busier with bacon and sausages being bulk cooked leading to the food being cold and a few people moaning. Swimming pool was a good size however it was salt water rather than fresh water, not a major issue. Pool bar and snack bar is right next to pool, pool snack bar is basic but ok for a few nibbles. Not too much entertainment going on through the day or evening so went out for walks most nights and watched the lovely sunset. Sunbeds around the pool were a little short at stages with people reserving sunbeds, the lifeguards did remove towels when they started around 10.00am. Sometimes there were quite a few inflatables in the pool. They is a large area up the flight of steps form the pool to the outside restaurant, which had a couple sunbeds, they could do with putting more sunbeds and umbrellas up in this area to give people more chance of getting a sunbed. There is also a bar in this area which was not open but may be later in the season. If not it should be opened to encourage people to use this area. They could squeeze a few more sunbeds in the pool area. There is a sun terrace on top the hotel, which had a few sunbeds, umbrellas and a shower, but no access to drinks, it’s a long way down to get a drink from the pool bar. There’s a nice comfy seating area outside the restaurant which was lovely to sit on a evening, however people were allowed to eat their dinner in this area, some people are animals and left food on the tables and cushions. Not good when you got smart clothes on for the evening. It may be worth stopping people eating within the comfy area and making a mess. I usually love the swimming in the sea, but now and again you would see an off white foam floating around in the sea, I was a little suspicious about what it was so didn’t want to risk swimming near it so never got in the sea. The staff were generally friendly and helpful especially the slightly older lady in the restaurant, she was lovely. The entertainment girl started the same day as we arrived and was settling in nicely. The hotel is in the process of having solar panels on top of the tennis court and car park. The installers decided to start cutting and drilling metal at 09.30am when people were sat in the outside area of the restaurant, which was a little noisy, not sure why they couldn’t wait till 10.00am to start when breakfast had finished. The surrounding area was ok, a few bars, restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Not overly lively and not to much to do. Lovely sunset. CONCLUSION: All in all had a nice holiday, didn’t want to come home and would definitely go back again. Hotel is a little tired and could do with a little TLC, might have been a 4 star hotel 30 years ago. Need extra sunbeds and umbrellas in various areas.
