“Excellent hotel with lovely staff”

We absolutely love this hotel. The staff are amazing and this hotel is so clean. The food is great. We have stayed at this hotel 5 times and each time it’s has been excellent. Thanks again for a lovely holiday

“Back again”

Stayed at the hotel at the end of April, a year after our first visit. The hotel is great, we've already booked again for August/September, but there are some slight differences from a year ago. Firstly, the food was slightly better this time around than it was last year. Overall a well above average all inclusive, plenty of choice, all good! We stayed on the Esencia package, so were able to use the a la carte whenever we wanted, which is great on the theme nights you don't fancy at the buffet (fish night isn't for me!) Service in the bar areas felt a bit slower this year, there were times in the Lyon club where service was very slow. However, at the time we were there they had brought in new staff, some of them working their first day, so hopefully that's a temporary thing. Staff are brilliant all around the hotel, no complaints at all! Entertainment is less varied than last year, every night now is some kind of tribute music act. Last year they had additional entertainment, such as magicians or acrobats, but now it is only music. The standard is still very good, just not as varied. Finally, my only slight complaint being on the Esencia package, is that the hotel aren't doing enough to stop those not paying for that package from using the esencia areas. The solarium is meant to be for esencia guests only, but was frequently used by those not on that package. No disadvantage this time, always got the sunbed we booked, but something that could become an issue over time. Overall, great hotel, love it.. can't wait to come back in a couple of months, and no doubt again after!

Presentation of this hotel is beautiful! The staff are great, friendly and efficient. For us there were a few aspects with food and drink that could be better. The breakfast is ok, it does offer a variety of continental breakfast items but quality is only ok. The cooked breakfast items were lovely. The pool areas were good and plenty different places to sit, booking system is very helpful and I think works really well. Lunch options if you weren’t all inclusive, there were only snacks (pre made sandwhiches, pizza slice, salad) no chips, nachos, chicken wings etc that would be nice for a lunch. You can pay €26 to have buffet lunch but we never tried this as we only wanted small plates. Also no frozen cocktails, no coke or Fanta, as it is Pepsi offered. A large variety of other drinks were available. Room cleanliness was ok, I felt our room was quite tired looking and the electrics from the light up wardrobe buzzed a high pitch noise constantly which was uncomfortable. We decided not to complain about our room as we just didn’t want any hassle on holiday and it was fine overall. There were also unfortunately ants in our room a few times, we wonder if there was a nest nearby, we were on 9th floor. Reception and housekeeping did help with this. We decided to stop eating and drinking in the room to prevent them coming in. It was my birthday while we were there and a lovely bottle of cava was provided in an ice bucket and 2 glasses. Very lovely gesture. The app is brilliant, tells you the entertainment throughout the day and night, menus for the restaurants, spa etc. I would recommend if it is an option to go for ‘esencia’ you get exclusive comfy sun beds and Balinese beds for free. Breakfast with an a la carte menu and many more benefits. We feel this really boasted our experience. Overall we did enjoy our stay but had higher expectations.

We absolutely love the hotel. It’s clean, the service in the bars and restaurants are outstanding. But ……. When we stayed in February, I did a review on the poor toiletries provided despite paying a premium for the Escensia package. This time, (visited 23rd-30th May) we stayed in an Escensia Pool view suite with a bath (paid extra for the bath) ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!! However! The toiletries are so disappointing. I have attached photos. We had a stand alone bath which was beautiful. But, the soap/shower gel was only accessible from the dispensers on the walls which were impossible to reach whilst in the bath! One in the shower and one by the sinks. There were no additional soaps. Having experienced the disappointing combined shower gel and shampoo on our last visit, we brought our own shampoo and conditioner this time but didn’t think we needed to include soap also! We love this hotel and will continue to return. It sounds so petty to moan about soap but when you pay extra for a bath, you assume soap is included!! Bring back the mini bottles of Rituals please.
