This was a great little find when I was looking on booking.com. The hotel is inside the gate, which was perfect and about a 5 min walk from Tha Pae Gate. This is probably a budget hotel, but for us it was used as a base to explore Chiang Mai so it did just as well needed. As soon as you step foot outside you get to experience the Lanna architecture which draws you in. A beautiful authentic Thai hotel, with great staff. We had a family room which was by far the biggest room we had on our trip. Twin bed for the children in a separate part of the room separated from us by a curtain. We were roadside, so it was a bit noisy but we were so tired from exploring that it didn’t affect us. The bathroom was insane! Two toilets, two showers, which was perfect for our teens. The hotel is close to everything, we were no more than a 5/10 min walk from anywhere but to be honest grab is so cheap that we just did that everywhere, which was especially useful with 90 degree heat. There is a great massage place across the road (Lanna) and we had some great foot massages there. We used the laundry and pool during our stay. The washing/ drying machines are a bit temperamental. The pool again was not big but did just what was needed on a sweltering day. Oh and the Sunday night market is literally the road behind the hotel so we didn’t have to walk far. One star deducted for the beds. They were literally rock hard. We are aware that Thai people prefer a hard mattress but this was like sleeping on floorboards.

“Enjoyable hotel”

Great hotel for the price great location staff were very good housekeeping was very good also. We booked an excursion with the lady in the reception area and it was an excellent day with a very good driver.

We stayed on a Sunday. It is connected to the 99 Heritage hotel. Reception and rooms were old style. There is a lift (though if you are in 3rd floor, you still have to climb a few steps). We stayed on a Sunday. It is connected to the 99 Heritage hotel. Reception and rooms were old style. There is a lift (though if you are in 3rd floor, you still have to climb a few steps). Room is small while compared to the newer hotels (expected for old style hotels within the city, I guess). For some reasons, there were not sufficient tea bags/sugar available though kettle and coffee was available. There is a pool and a restaurant. A travel desk is also available. Very close to the Wat Phra Singh and the Sunday market. Note that the hotel is at the Wat Phra Singh end and it will be a long walk back if you go all the way on the Sunday market. There are restaurants nearby, most of them offering continental breakfast. Overall, it was sufficient for a quick stay in Chiang Mai; especially if you are looking for a Suday Market shopping and Vat visits.

Its an average hotel in good area . Walkable to so many attractions. I didn't have any specific problems during my stay . Its an average hotel in good area . Walkable to so many attractions. I didn't have any specific problems during my stay . But one thing I didn't like, they withdraw the amount of hotel room , 5 days earlier than my check in while my booking was pay at hotel options . When we book the room with pay at hotel option , the money should be paid directly at hotel . It's an uncommon action they did that was unpleasant.
