my first reaction was one of disappointment as we came down the street. I didn't realize the hotel was this old but it soon vanished as I saw how well preserved it was and the friendly staff. Great breakfast and value for money. Nice convenient pool area and great view of the sea plus beach access. The gym is better than most commercial gyms we've seen at any of the hotels. There is a restaurant opposite for reasonable food and drinks. You need to be mobile to get to shops and other restaurants and the hotel can assist in getting bike rentals.

“Basic but wow what a location!”

Wow what a find! The location is directly on the beach and the view from your room, part jungle, part beach was amazing! Wow what a find! The location is directly on the beach and the view from your room, part jungle, part beach was amazing! Wake up to jungle noises, including sounds of gibbons every day was incredible. The price for our stay was very reasonable and we ended up staying a further 5 nights. The beach is incredible and so quiet if you need some time away from the touristy areas. There isnt a lot to do, it is very basic and own transport or a taxi is needed to go to most places but if you just want relaxation without all the fancy bits you've got it. Staff were lovely, rooms were so clean and the pool was great. We even saw bioluminescent plankton at night in the sea. Gym was fantastic. Will definately be back!

Nice, older hotel in a great location; right on the beach. The staff was friendly enough and couple of them could speak decent English. The breakfast was okay but not great. The problem each morning was that the food wasn't warm when I got down to the restaurant for the buffet. On the two mornings where I could order off the menu, the food was hot. There is a restaurant on the beach also but I didn't go in it. The rooms were a good size and comfortable bed. Water pressure wasn't horrible but not that great either. It is quiet at the place and far enough off the road to not hear what little traffic that there is. All the rooms have a balcony which makes for some nice views. The hotel is about two kilometers of so from the main "city" area of Khanom. One will probably want transportation if they are going to stay here. The infinity pool was nice and a good size. I'd consider staying here again...may choose another place though just to try something different out. Oh,,,and they had a very well equipped gym area.

“Decent visit but outdated and deadly lift doors ”

When we first arrived at the hotel we were greeted by a receptionist that seemed quite old and did not speak much English. She still found our booking and handed us our room key. Once we had retrieved our key we made our way to the lifts. Along with the rest of the hotel the lift looked like something out of the 1970s. It still worked fine though with no issue. The real issue was if there were more than 2 people in the lift the doors slam on the person walking out, which was actually very painful. Once we arrived in our room, It was comfortable and acceptable with a sea view. Me and my brother had a twin bed room but for some reason every time room service would push our beds together, Which was a bit weird as it was not a double bed room. The hotel was also completely empty with only 2-3 other families staying there. The hotel was very outdated like it hadn't had a refurbishment in a very long time. Legend has it at quarter past 4 in the morning you can hear the ghosts of the guests that stayed here many many years ago. The pool was acceptable and the beach by the hotel was clean although it was dirty because of the storm about a week before further down the beach. Overall a decent stay apart from the deadly lift and the ghosts.
