Stayed at Kantary bay for 8 nights in a one bedroom studio apartment overall the stay was a good experience, Our stay did include breakfast but we only bothered twice because to be honest the breakfast was not good in-fact the only negative thing I can say about the hotel was the poor standard of the food being served The hotel itself self is fairly modern in most area but some areas could do with a makeover, the plus side to the hotel is its staff they are a credit to the hotel, very helpful and friendly nothing was a problem. Would we stay again? We maybe because it was an ideal location and perfect for a relaxed holiday but if you like to get out and about hiring a car is a must. If you are a lover of seafood we would highly recommend the Cher Cher seafood restaurant which is about a 5-10 minute drive from the hotel by far the best restaurant in the area.

“Great hotel for a short stay”

Stayed here as a stopover on way to Ko Chang. Rooms are dated but still quite nice- even has old hifi system with cassette etc. lovely big comfortable bed. They also have a kitchen with most things. Rooms have plenty storage and nice toiletries. Without doubt this hotel has the hottest water ever- they even have warning signs up about how hot it is- ideal if you want a bath. It also has the most powerful shower ever. There is a very good breakfast with a big selection. There is a bowling alley, ping pong tables and pool tables and a singer at 5pm at the Kantary cafe on site. Two lovely pools with loads of sun loungers. Negatives- a very small balcony for our room. Lifts could be noisy if you are near them. Food and drink cost much more than outside. Great hotel for a short stay and I would recommend eating on the beach or at nearby Thai places. No english spoken but very friendly people with great food and drink and so so cheap.

“Think twice before stating there”

We booked a suite at the kantary bay hotel for 6 nights. We booked a suite at the kantary bay hotel for 6 nights. How tall is very large with a main building and an east wing, two swimming pools,a gym,, a coffee shop, a restaurant, a corner cocktail bar and several meeting rooms. The exterior of the hotel was lovely and right across the road from the beach. The beach was not really swimmable as it was quite dirty with lots of plastic bags and rubbish floating in it. And it was quite rough being that it is on the gulf of Thailand. The room. Suite was very spacious. Well appointed had a balcony and view of the water not directly facing water but aside view the bed was hard and I ended up with a sore hip. It had a full size fridge and freezer cooktop kettle, cooking utensils, plates cups and pots and pans.The bathroom is spacious with hot water and complimentary toiletries. There was a shower and bath, toilet and basin. Our suite was on the 8th floor overlooking the 2nd pool. A comfortable room except at night wind motorbikes constantly went up and down the road in front of the hotel up until about 230 in the morning very very loud so loud it was difficult to sleep. The breakfast. Breakfast was sufficient all regular stuff, bacon eggs, toast, juice, cereal, sausages variety of Thai foods and salad items tea coffee Japanese foods porridge etc. I must say the coffee was disgusting and in the cafe in the hotel grounds we expected a bit of coffee but it was the same coffee that was served at breakfast, not nice at all. The pool pools were very nice. Clean and refreshing but access for anyone with mobility issues as I have it was very difficult to get into the pool areas and in and out of the pools as both pools had stairs leading to them no ramps and the pools itself had only one set of metal stairs to get in and out of the pool which you found very hard knees. The gym was well equipped but the sauna and steam room seemed to be either out of order or just not functional. Also, the hot tub was not working the whole time we were there. So over all it was okay for the price. A lot of Thai guests were staying there non Thai guests were few and far between. Would not go there again, and there is also not a lot around there to do. You have to go and get a taxi if you want to go anywhere I guess if you’re just like lying around the pool, it would be fine.
