Check-in Experience: 5 Luckily we were able to check in early which of course is an added bonus. The reception staff were very polite and more than ready for guests to arrive. Our room wasn’t far from reception and we were taxied in a buggy to it. This was a nice touch. Room Quality: 5 • Cleanliness: Our room was clean and as expected. • Amenities: All the usual toiletries were included as well as a stocked mini bar which was very reasonably priced. Our room had a pool shared between 4 other rooms. Most of the time we had use of this pool to ourselves. The view was incredible and we were extremely happy with this as our plan was to spend a couple of days enjoying the room and pool. There are other rooms available with the swim up pool however not all have the view we had. Rooms 101-105 are the best. Wi-fi was decent thought the hotel. • Comfort: The room was amazing and spacious. Very large bed and also very comfortable. I believe this hotel is 3* but the room was better than some 5*. The only annoyance here was the material used for the sheets/pillows/quilt cover. It’s not cotton and the sheet would come off every night. Regardless of this the room was perfect. Facilities & Services: 4.6 • Dining: We had breakfast included which included a range of Thai, western and cereal options. Not a huge amount to choose from but there was certainly enough. Dinner and lunch is available to order all at a reasonable price and good quality. We didn’t order any room service however it is available and from what I remember cost the same as if you ate in the restaurant. • Pool, Spa, Gym, etc.: There is a main pool which we didn’t use as we were only here for 2 nights and our room had a swim up pool. I had a look at the main pool area and it looks clean and tidy as well as being close enough to the bar. I’m not sure if there is a gym here and pretty sure there is no spa. Staff & Customer Service: 4.5 The staff were all friendly and welcoming. At dinner time there were plenty of staff ready to attend to any needs/requests. Before arriving at the hotel I asked if there were excursions on offer and was sent a copy of some day trips. We stayed here for 2 reasons 1; To chill a bit and make use of the room and pool 2; to be close to the Dam in the national park for a day trip. Our previous hotel confirmed we were booked in for certain days and times for pre-booked excursions. Belong Jin wouldn’t pre-book us and just said we can book when we arrive. This was a bit of a worry because we were aiming to do a full day trip the day after our arrival. Everything was fine and we did get to go to the Dam as planned. I appreciate that the excursions are not run by the hotel but a pre-booking service would have been preferred as we based our holiday plans around it. Value for Money: 5 We were extremely happy with the overall cost to stay here. As said previously although it’s only a 3* it felt closer to a 5*. Food and mini bar were very well priced. Overall Experience: 4.8 Overall we loved our time here. The room, location, the view were perfect for us. There is not much around the hotel so if you are planing on eating out then I would perhaps do some research and reconsider where you stay. The food menu was more than adequate for 2 nights and would have been just fine for a week. Rating: 4.8
