This is the second time that we have been to this hotel and glad to say we received the same excellent service, from the wellcome when we walked through the door to the lovely surprise of flowers ,fruit and wine when we reached our room.We were pleased to see quite a few friendly faces from the year before and new ones that made us just as welcome. This hotel has been for Adults only and because it's not to big it has given it a very personal feeling , we have been informed that it is now being developed and merging with its sister hotel next door, I just hope and pray that it is not going to be to big a lose its very personal touch that guests appreciate, in all I would recommend this hotel , but will be waiting to see future reviews after the refurbishment has been completed to decide whether we will be returning. We have just returned from a 2 week stay at this hotel and cannot find a fault with it. The room is amazing with jacuzzi bath on the balcony and nicely decorated. It was kept clean with regular bedding and towel changes by our maid Fatma. The food was of a high standard and it was always hot with plenty of choice. The drinks were great but i think more cocktail choice would be nice and also no whiskey or rum A/I . The staff are what make this place special they are lovely friendly and helpful and i never found it difficult to have a conversation with them in english. Aspecial mention to Apo (Abdullah) and Fatih the barmen for their great service and good company. The entertainment team and shows from the sister hotel are also of a high standard. I can understand why this hotel has a high number of repeat guests Well done Sentido Golden Bay we will return 😃

“good,but should be better”

check in fast,room has plenty of space,good shower and air con,bath robes and slippers.balcony jacuzzi always seemed to have a fault,we noticed at least half a dozen being repaired during our stay.beware on our stay the slide privacy screen from a 3rd floor balcony fell into the pool one early morning,lucky no one in the pool at the time.the pool is large for the size of hotel,but a little to cold.the indoor pool is warmer but small.the gym is huge,the best we have seen.food is a little on the boring side not much variety on the hot dishes ,also not very hot,breakfast is good,varied and fresh eggs etc cooked on request.the a la carte is worth a visit,but you might have to visit sister hotel depending what meal you choose when booking.the outside pool bar is good,emin the waiter is always around asking if you need anything to drink,also they serve food from here during the day,wraps,burgers,pizza etc,and the restaurant is open for lunch also.the lobby bar is very quiet ,the all inc drinks could and should have a wider variety.you go to the sister hotel if you want entertainment,we went a couple of evenings [not the best quality] the sister hotel is lit at night which is impressive.overall this is a good adults only hotel if you just want to relax,maybe just a little to layed back for us during the evenings.the staff are mostly very helpfull ,one or two not so.THE BAD POINTS....cleaning of rooms,corridors etc should be a lot better.a better drinks menu.the hot food should be HOT.would we go back ,possibly not but overall the holiday came at a good price.overall the area around the hotel is ok,with plenty of shops[they all seem to sell the same items ]we had some days out which had fine scenery etc and good value for money.

Overall this was a very good holiday. There were a few niggles/developmental things but these were far outweighed by the positives and I’ve already fed back to the hotel – they actively solicit feedback which is encouraging and the management team are all very visible. The airport transfer is indeed 2 plus hours, however it’s mostly on a good dual carriageway so not really a problem. We arrived at the hotel just before midnight and after being shown to our room were directed to the restaurant where the late buffet operates from 2330 – 0030 hrs daily. There has been a lot of discussion about the rooms. I think it depends on what’s important to you. The hotel was full and I had tried to book a room with a Jacuzzi but there just wasn’t one. In the event we had a quiet room with a Juliet balcony on the ground floor overlooking an olive grove, a patch of grassland and the sea. It was very private. All of the bedrooms with balconies are overlooked by either other guests in the hotel or by guests in the Sentido Gold Island next door, so frankly I wouldn’t have used my balcony very much anyway and certainly not the Jacuzzi. The only noise from the restaurant above our room was the occasional scraping of furniture – the room was under the Mediterranean restaurant which is used only in the evenings. In the room we had everything we needed including bathrobes and slippers. We had a double bed so it’s worth asking if that’s your preference. The pool – I had been a bit worried about the pool after reading reviews, but it was very good. A bit cold, but that’s not a bad thing from a swimmer’s point of view as it meant it wasn’t heavily used. I estimated the short end at about 18m and the long length at 40m so it was easy to work out mileage and get some decent swimming done. The gym in the basement was excellent – I used it a couple of times when we had thunderstorms and it was very clean and well equipped. Restaurants – the main restaurant in the hotel isn’t very big (a plus) and has a lot of outside seating. The staff are excellent and we found the food very good, lots of salads, vegetables, fruit, meat and fish. We ate in the seafood restaurant one night (at the Gold Island) – the food was nice but the service was dreadful, take a glass of wine in with you from the bar or you sit for 15 minutes without even a drink. The service in the Mediterranean restaurant was very good. The food was nice too, although a very short menu; it was just nice to have waiter service for a change. Bars – the wine wasn’t bad at all, ditto the brandy. They do Bloody Marys if you ask, but take a bottle of Worcestershire Sauce with you if that’s your tipple (they do have Tabasco, salt and pepper). Pool bar – very good service, special mention to Emin who makes sure you always have a drink to hand. The only issues we had were – one day they ran out of pool towels; dinner in the evening is really early, from 6 – 9 pm; the tennis court at the Gold Island needs some repair to the surface and not to double up as a basketball court; the aggressive sales tactics by the spa rep actually dissuaded me from having treatments (I usually spend a fair bit of money in hotel spas but because of his demeanour I was quite frankly put off); We were with Thomas Cook. If you do the Hamman trip book an early time as when I went I was out of the hotel from 4 pm until after 9pm (yes, we missed dinner) as it was dreadfully busy. Be prepared to be the only Brit, it is most heavily used by the Russians. Good experience though. The adults-only boat trip is worth doing, they don’t pack the boat full of people so there’s space in the shade and the sun, the lunch was good and it was a nice leisurely day. We also did the full day trip to Perge, Aspendos and Kursunlu and would recommend it if you like history and nature, it was a very relaxed day and we were a small group of Brits with an English speaking guide. Decent lunch too. In summary, for us, big positives about the hotel were the peace and quiet, plenty of sunbeds around the pool, the staff, the food & drink, the pool and the tennis court next door.
