we have been booking this place at the last moment, due to non availability of the other where we were staying. prices half compared to the other (93 euros for a 2 double rooms place with balcony and bathroom, breakfast included), the quotation was very very good and honestly the kindness of both the gentleman at the reception and the lady at the breakfast was outstanding. of course the facilities were not many but again very very good compared to other 3 stars accommodation...

OK, this is not a traditional Austrian hotel. Its relatively modern made of concrete, perhaps more Swiss/American in style? Its run by the owner. Room facilities were in good condition as described by the hotel. One niggle was that the bathroom towel heater on a central control thermostat (not in the room) rarely came on so towel drying and clothes drying was difficult and meant we changed our shower towels daily to avoid coming back to still damp cotton. Had to use the bedroom heater for drying kit after a snowy day. Most rooms have a good views, ours didn't. Sorry can't remeber the room number The hotel is a ski back to location, but in the morning there is a 10 minute walk to the lifts, manageable if the driveway is not icy otherwise it could be a rapid descent down to the road. We noticed several cars even with wintre tyres struggled on the incline up to the hotel. Food was basic, but good. Dinning room again is basic with good views if in the right seats. As others have mentioned staffing is at minimum levels (the boss, the chef, and a bar-server assistant, all staff were pleasant and polite. Tap water was free, small beers €2.80. A nice touch, the owner let me wax my skis in the ski room. This is rare, many places refuse to let you do that. The ski room is opened with the same electronic key card as the room. its clean like the rest of the hotel with good boot dryers and ski racks.

Hotel is set on top of a steep slope almost in the centre of the village. Rather a climb from the main road, if without transport. Astounding views in some directions. Very clean and pristine in appearance. Single room was clinical in function and not homely, but had shared balcony with adjoining single room. Bed was a generous single size; shower room facilities were adequate but sparse, in that a wet towel left on the floor was placed back on the (occasionally) heated towel rack to dry. Soap dispensers were not topped up and difficult to get a decent amount from them. Catering was not generous and peculiar in the main meal composition, e.g, grilled pork steak with cous-cous and sour grout. Soups were extremely tasty, but often of the consomme variety. Bread rolls were not provided as were told that if eaten with evening meal, none would be available for breakfast. Sweets, were again peculiar, e.g. cold semolina with raspberry sauce. The bar facilities were part of the dining area with no separate lounge available to sit after the meal. The attitude of the staff was very subservient to the Manager who gave the appearance of annoyance at being bothered by such as we. On our last evening the Manager was absent, and the staff were not allowed to handle cash purchases for drinks; it being put on the room account instead. On departure next morning the Manager displayed great reluctance in the use of credit/debit cards, trying to obtain cash from each individual. However, on being presented with coin of low value ( 1; 2 & 5 cent) to make up 20 cents, he refused to accept it. All in all, not a very pleasant experience and not to be recommended if anything other than bed and basic continental breakfast is desired.
