Stayed on way back to qld The room was excellent and very,clean .great bathroom. The motel is well presented Would recommend.

“Clean, comfortable for a great price”

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The kitchenette had plenty of coffee and teas, cutlery and a microwave. The lady at reception very friendly. The location is not too bad. Even though it is on a main road the noise was not an issue as there was not much traffic. I will recommend it

How to feel utterly stupid! I was sitting earlier in the day with my brother whilst he was finishing his work up... I thought I would look for somewhere to stay that night because while my brother offered his couch... my introvert nature wanted space. Cleverly I thought I had booked a room at this motel for an incredible price. Later in the evening, I arrived here.... I believe it was about 20:00. No-one was there, no email, no message... I wondered what was wrong. I called the number on the door and she replied that there were no bookings for that night. I said I had one, and a confirmation email but no email to tell me how to access the room. I then sent her the confirmation text ... at which point she pointed out that I had booked a whole month ahead. NO wonder I wasn't given access emails or texts. I was very fortunate that the lady came and met me and found me a room. Initially she did not believe how little I had paid for it, until I showed her evidence. Still, she would not meet that price... but at this stage, I was feeling silly and she did offer me a reasonable price. I then had to apply to Wotif for a refund, which was given days later. As for the motel, it's in a convenient location. Whilst it has seen better days, it has everything you will need. I was impressed by the service considering my mistake. I got a reasonably good nights sleep here as well. It is a basic motel but in quite good condition.

“Reasonable Cost, Good Location”

Silver Haven Motel is in a good location and very easy to locate. It was an Easter trip with a lot of tourists in town. The motel is single story with dedicated parking making access to the rooms easy. Due to our later time of arrival, reception was closed but key arrangements had been communicated… more

Silver Haven Motel is in a good location and very easy to locate. It was an Easter trip with a lot of tourists in town. The motel is single story with dedicated parking making access to the rooms easy. Due to our later time of arrival, reception was closed but key arrangements had been communicated well prior to our arrival via sms. Room was of a medium size with most basic essentials supplied. It was clean and comfortable. The lighting in the room was very basic, one ceiling lamp and one bed side table lamp. In a digital age where travelers now have lap tops, phone chargers and other devices, the small round table made usage very awkard when there are more than one traveler. Minimal power points were available. The bed was comfortable, the shower good strength and consistent supply of hot water. The motel’s restaurant was closed and hence was a good reason to explore Broken Hill for other places to eat or obtain take away. We did not use the Wifi as we utilize hotspotting through mobile phones. There is a laundry on site. During our three night stay, we did not see any staff at all. As a base for activities around Broken Hill and surrounds, the motel was good. Almost on the corner of the road to Menindie and on Argent Street, the location was good. Sometimes we hear the road transport on Argent St and the trains on the railway behind but it was not disruptive. By what we experienced, it is a good place to stay for reasonable costs and location. However, the property at the time of our stay showed that it needed some TLC to bring it back to a better standard.
