We booked for three nights in a superior tent for a total of $1498. Our tent was elevated and against the fence line. Not sure if it was a desalinization plant behind the fence, but the fence was high enough not to take too much notice and we didn’t hear workers during our stay. We felt our tent was a little more private than others in the centre of the resort and we loved it. Even when we left the curtains facing the public walkway open. However, our neighbour had an issue with a family member over the phone and we heard the conversation word for word, along with the foul language in the early afternoon. The downside of camping or even glamping is you will hear your neighbours. Our tent had more room than we expected. The bathroom was spacious; the shower pressure was perfect. The wifi worked well with only a couple slow moments. The bed was comfortable and the tent had a small lounge, although it was stained. The tent has a fan and we left the ‘window’ open for a cool breeze overnight. The kitchenette was great. We only used the kettle and mini fridge, but there was a microwave and a coffee pod machine. There was a good selection of crockery and glasses to make simple meals for people self-catering. Breakfast was included in the price and selections were enough for us. We were staying during a high wind weather event and a staff member was walking through the resort issuing notices to those guests advising of an exclusion zone. I have to say we have had bigger wind gusts in my hometown than this particular night and it was probably louder from inside the tent due to the moving canvas than it probably was outside. But we appreciated the effort the resort went to in order to keep their guests safe. The resort is a little out of town, but with bags delivered to our room from the ferry it was a lovely walk, however the distance from town may not suit everyone if not hiring a bike. Reception do give an A5 sheet with clear instructions for the usual accommodation requirements and they will transfer luggage to the ferry which was great because we returned bikes in the morning of departure so it was easier without luggage.

Rottnest island is amazing and definitely worth staying the night when all the day trippers go home it certainly quietens down. Rottnest island is amazing and definitely worth staying the night when all the day trippers go home it certainly quietens down. The glamping tents ( we had a superior) were very nice with great bathrooms but they were expensive. The downside of them is the noise we unfortunately had a 4am alarm call from a very loud baby and you can hear word for word what the neighbours are saying. Breakfast was very good but you had to be very mindful of swooping seagulls so didn’t give the relaxing vibe. Would I stay again - yes but probably look at other accommodation.
