The hotel personnel is very kind and attentive. They speak in quite a few languages: German, English, Italian, and some of the maids Hungarian or Romanian :) Been there with family and asking for full pension. Breakfeast and dinner are abundent, just the lunch is a bit weird. I'll explain: - breakfeast: the same "lineup" every mornig (as in case of every hotel), but with lots of staff to choose from - dinner: each night a different nations's cousine is on plate, again with great abudance and with great variety every evening - lunch: this one is interesting: only one and a kind of a soup at noon, and again around 16:00 PM some cookies to quiet your hunger. They also have family rooms, which are spacious, and fun for the kids: the rooms have two levels, within the room. Usually kids love the second floor, of course. Though they are some discomforting items in the bathroom. 1. there is no sinker in the middle of the room, so if you spill anything out (and you will because there is only a curtain at the shower), what you spilled out stays there till you clean it up. 2. The automatic ventilators that ought to get the smell and the steam out, they are a but noisy. And they tend to continue quite a lot, after you killed the lights. And that's a bit anoying during the night, when you go out to take a piss (you will wake up everybody in the room, sooner or later).

I can fairly recommend this hotel, which is really adapted for families. We were there in February and the hotel was 2/3 full, which was OK. I can imagine that with full capacity (200 guests) the restaurant room/buffet might be a little too busy…. The hotel is separated in 3 buildings (parking outdoor easily and for free around the buildings). The third one is reserved for school groups, who always remain in this building. We have heard that an underground tunnel has been authorized and should connect the 3 buildings together, which would be very practical, because meals (breakfast and dinner) take place in the main building, and it is thus necessary to dress accordingly…. Staff is really friendly, polite and welcoming. Rooms get cleaned every day, room maids are not all German native speakers, but it is possible to communicate nicely with them. Rooms and bathrooms are renovated and very comfortable, we picked 2 rooms for 4. It is possible to book one room for 4 (and use the couch as second bed), but I would not like it personnally because the nice large room would suddenly become very small. Especially with all wet winter clothing. One closet for all, no thank you. Moreover our closet had only 2 shelves, 1 already busy with the safe….and only 7 clothes hangers (typical issue in any hotel, never enough hangers…) Food is good, there is always something nice to find in the daily choice. OK it's not a 5 star-restaurant, but really focused on family needs. WIFI is OK in the hotel but beware that it's not possible to download stuff, so forget YouTube, Netflix, etc. On the other hand, this is quite fair if it allows everyone to enjoy a comfortable connection for all small and simple daily use. Especially if you have children, keep in mind that it is not a real ski in ski out hotel. From the FIGOL building you have to climb exactly 55 stairs steps up from the ski room to the nearest lift chair. To join the other telecabine, there is some walking distance (a few hundred meters). Special mention for the ski room with individual lockers (with digit code) they are large enough for 4 persons (rare in the others hotels). Ventilation is perfect in this ski room, and the ski boots heating system is very welcome ! To put it in a nutshell : a very nice family hotel in a very nice and friendly ski area. Small typical quiet and authentical Austrian village, not a single souvenirs shop --> how refreshing !!!

The hotel and staff strive to please but rely on the good behaviour and orderly conduct of their guests to successfully provide buffet meals for large numbers of adults and children. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed. One safety deficiency is worth mentioning. My room was on the third floor and the corridor outside had no sign or indication of any kind to show which of the many doors led to the stairs and the lift. Couples with young children would like the hotel---especially its swmming pool.
