The hotel is well located behind the train station, 15 minutes from the city center. The rooms are spacious, soundproof and clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast is wonderful with lots op choices, live cooking (omelettes) and delicious fresh fruits. However, this is a congres hotel, so expect large groups taking over the breakfast room (long lines and very noisy). Also don't expect this to be a true wellness hotel (spa); we paid 30 euro pp to use the wellness area, which was small and unhygienic: too many guests were allowed or entered without having paid, there was no control or supervision and the system with a required code (for paying guests) was easy to circumvent. People were using the sauna without taking a shower and without using a towel to sit on. There was not enough room to relax and the showers were poor quality (no cold showers to cool down after the sauna). There were signs everywhere indicating that this was a quiet area, but no peace was to be found. These 30 euros were a waste of money. Lastly, the check-in procedure seemed rather inefficient, it took 30 minutes to get our key cards on the day of arrival.

“Near train station”

Hotel is close to the train station. Rooms are big and clean. Restaurants and bars are very suitable. Front desk staff cold and unfriendly.

For the money this hotel is excellent! Very clean and luxurious! Spa was a little small, and very busy but over all we were very happy here. Food in the restaurant was sublime!

Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, especially considering the size of a city like Mons. The experience was largely positive and the setting is quite convenient. However, there are several areas where improvements could be made to elevate the guest experience further. Areas for Improvement: • Upon arrival by car with multiple pieces of luggage, there was no assistance provided. This was unexpected and inconvenient. • The reception staff appeared somewhat distant. There was no greeting beyond the basics: no inquiry about our journey, well-being, or whether we needed help. A more welcoming and attentive approach would go a long way in reflecting true hospitality. • While four bottles of conditioner were provided in the room, there was no shampoo or shower gel. I called reception to inquire, but after being put on hold, the issue was never resolved. • During summer, the room tends to attract mosquitoes. A window screen would have been appreciated, allowing fresh air circulation without the nuisance of insect bites. • The Friday and Saturday evening buffet offerings were almost identical (approximately 95% the same) resulting in a lack of variety across the two nights. • In the restaurant, the Teppanyaki table generates a significant amount of smoke, and the ventilation system does not seem to function properly. The dining area becomes quite smoky, and the smell lingers on clothes afterward. What We Appreciated: • The location is excellent, immediately accessible from the highway and just a few minutes’ walk from the city thanks to the new train station bridge. It’s also 5 min walk to the mall (including Carrefour and Ikea). • Complimentary parking is available on-site. • We stayed in the Hudro Deluxe Suite (60 sqm), which was the only option available during the Doudou weekend. The suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable. • The Friday and Saturday dinner buffet offered good value for money, with the option to include three hours of unlimited beverages as an add-on. • Breakfast was impressive, with a wide selection and consistently high-quality food. • The veranda and outdoor bar were definite highlights, adding to the overall atmosphere.
