“Lovely, peaceful stay”
Clean pool, nice food, pleasant staff, and a lovely setting by the oxbow water - all very relaxing. Nice walks to go on, a tower to view the surroundings from and a huge variety of birdlife to see if you take one of the boat tours.

“Stop over on the way to Porto Jofre”
I stayed here for a night as a stop over. so many birds chirping in the morning and you can see caymans around the vicinity. Rooms were clean. “could be so much better....”
sparse rooms, sheet left on bed to make yourself. Air Conditioning was adequate. Food was the worse we had on our trip. Pool was green and they were trying hard to get it back. “OK but poor service overall”
We stayed at Hotel Pantanal Mato Grosso for 2 nights on our way back towards Cuiaba. The location is nice along the Pixaim River (esentially an oxbow lake) but I think most travelers could do without the outsized fake animals and billiard/ping pong tables.
