“Expensive but good”

The hotel really looks like a castle. It is clean. Our room was super big and the bathroom were nice. A good breakfast. But there are certain times of the day when there is nobody in the reception or in the restaurant.

As I read the reviews, I became concerned on choosing it to host me. But some criticism I saw could also be understood from another stand point of view. As I read the reviews, I became concerned on choosing it to host me. But some criticism I saw could also be understood from another stand point of view. Indeed, the hotel is placed 1,1 Km (0,68 miles) away from downtown, but if you do prefer a quiet place to rest, probably this is one of your best choices. I do confirm that you are the one to open the garage gate, but found no problem with dirty, towels or anything else. My experience was very good. The hotel design mimics Verona's castle (from Italy), and have two "squares", the east one with much room (good for children) and some tables under a vine; the west one, where the pool is. Indeed is a romantic place. There are statues all over the hotel, and also some painting and sculptures remembering Romeo and Giuliete's love story. The hotel have a restaurant (appetizers only, for a fair price) the same that serves the breakfast. Drinks 24h day, and food untill 10 pm. By the way, the breakfast was very good, with plenty things to choose: from tea to yogurt; from breads to cakes. The rooms itself are not fancy, but completly functional. Mine (26), for example, doesn't have a closet, but it do have a place to hang the clothes and also a shelf for that. It don't bothered me at all! It also have a table and two chairs. Oh! And a good bed (box stile), to sleep after the waterfalls trekkings. Bathroom: standard. The hotel is slightly better than the rooms, what I mean is that the rooms have a finishing that doesen't match with the hotel. But don't worry about that, it's only a matter of finishing, and doesn't disturb the use of all the room structure. The owner is a Italian man, and lives in Brazil since 2001. He is very concerned with his host comfort, and try to make the best to made you enjoy being there. In this sense, all the staff is perfect! Good points: quietness; hotel beauty; pool; condictioned-air; allows you to bring food. Points to improve/negative points: wifi (see tips below for details); garage gate; entrance from the garage to the hotel; distance from downtown.
