Rarely do you come across a place you can truly call paradise… but somehow, in the tiny, remote village of Atins, in Maranhão, Brazil, we found exactly that at Vila Camurim. From the moment their vehicle met our boat to pick us up, we knew this wasn’t going to be just another stay—it was going to be an experience. And then we walked through the doors… straight into a tropical oasis. Think stunning local craftsmanship, calming energy, and that instant exhale-you-didn’t-know-you-needed kind of feeling. We were warmly welcomed by the first of many incredibly attentive and caring staff members, and honestly, within minutes we were already planning how to slow down and soak it all in. Walking past the inviting pool and charming bar only added to the excitement. Then came our room… and wow. Impeccably clean, beautifully designed, and filled with thoughtful touches—from a sweet welcome treat to a signature room scent that is so uniquely Vila Camurim. It felt luxurious, cozy, and completely intentional. The food? Fresh, local, and absolutely delicious. The kind of place where once you check in, you truly don’t feel the need to leave. (Okay… almost don’t—because you absolutely must visit the breathtaking dunes at Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. Don’t worry though, the staff takes care of all the arrangements seamlessly.) But what truly makes Vila Camurim unforgettable is the people. A heartfelt thank you to Bruno, Mikaes, João, Ana Maria, Andres, and the entire team who went above and beyond to make us feel at home. And to the owner, Saulo, and his wife—what you’ve created here is something really special. We’re already dreaming about our return. 🌿✨ Raramente você encontra um lugar onde você pode realmente chamar o paraíso... A partir do momento em que seu veículo encontrou nosso barco para nos buscar, sabíamos que não seria apenas mais uma estadia – seria uma experiência. E então caminhamos pelas portas... direto para um oásis tropical. Pense no artesanato local impressionante, na energia calmante e no tipo de sentimento instantâneo de exalar você não sabia que você precisava. Fomos calorosamente recebidos pelo primeiro de muitos membros da equipe incrivelmente atenciosos e atenciosos e, honestamente, em poucos minutos, já estávamos planejando como desacelerar e mergulhar tudo. Passando pela piscina convidativa e pelo charmoso bar só aumentava a emoção. Então veio nosso quarto... e uau. Impecavelmente limpo, lindamente projetado e cheio de toques atenciosos - desde um doce de boas-vindas a um perfume de sala de assinatura tão exclusivamente Vila Camurim. Parecia luxuoso, aconchegante e completamente intencional. A comida? Fresco, local e absolutamente delicioso. O tipo de lugar onde, uma vez que você faz o check-in, você realmente não sente a necessidade de sair. (Tudo bem... quase não, porque você absolutamente deve visitar as dunas de tirar o fôlego do Parque Nacional Lençóis Maranhenses. Não se preocupe, a equipe cuida de todos os arranjos perfeitamente.) Mas o que realmente torna Vila Camurim inesquecível são as pessoas. Um sincero agradecimento a Bruno, Mikaes, João, Ana Maria, Andres e a toda equipe que se esforçou para nos fazer sentir em casa.
