We had a delicious dinner at Esterel Resort ROK restaurant in Quebec. Not only were the seafood, steak and appetizers were delicious, we were all truly impressed with the exceptional service by our waiter, Alexis, that elevated our entire dining experience. We ordered the crab cake, oysters, and surf and turf sharing platter on stone cooking plates - a standout choice both for its presentation and flavour. Alexis was professional, friendly, and his attentiveness was evident. He greeted us warmly and took the time to explain the menu in detail, particularly highlighting the components of the Surf and Turf platter, specific cuts of steak and how each element would be prepared and presented on the hot plates. Throughout the meal, he checked in with us regularly to ensure everything was to our satisfaction without being overbearing so thanks for such great service.

À notre arrivée, nous avons attendus au moins 30 minutes à la réception pour pouvoir confirmer notre arrivée. On nous a annoncé qu'il était préférable de se présenter au bâtiment adjacent pour confirmer notre arrivée. Le lendemain matin, nous avons voulu nous rendre au spa extérieur et avons appelé la réception pour obtenir des robes de chambre afin d'aller au SPA extérieur. On nous informe qu'elle devait être dans la chambre qui n'avait pas été rafraîchie et qu'un appel était placé immédiatement. 4 heures d'attente et 3 appels plus tard, nous avons finalement reçu les robes de chambres (dont une qui était trop petite pour un adulte) et nous as fait manquer l'heure du déjeuner. Pendant l'attente, nous nous sommes rendu au restaurent à 11h00 et avons été accueilli par un préposer qui a refusé de nous placer en nous indiquant que le restaurent était fermé afin de préparer le dîner. Nous avons dû revenir plus tard pour le dîner. Par chance, la nourriture était excellente malgré le fait qu'elle soit très dispendieuse pour l'offre. Nous avons fait des réservations pour la dégustation de vin ainsi que pour le souper et avons finalement annulé la réservation du souper afin d'opter pour une bien meilleure solution à Ste-Adèle. Nous avons quitté frustré du service le lendemain matin et avons fait un stop déjeuner pour un excellent déjeuner à Ste-Adèle. Très bel hôtel avec d'excellentes installations mais malheureusement, expérience gâchée par un service de chambre et restaurent blasé et très peu à l'écoute de la clientèle. / Upon our arrival, we waited at least 30 minutes at the front desk before being able to check in. We were then informed that it would have been preferable to go to the adjacent building to complete our check‑in. The following morning, we wanted to visit the outdoor spa and called the front desk to request bathrobes. We were told they should have been in the room, which had not yet been refreshed, and that a request would be placed immediately. Four hours and three follow‑up calls later, we finally received the bathrobes (one of which was far too small for an adult) which caused us to miss breakfast. While waiting, we went to the restaurant at 11:00 a.m., where we were greeted by an attendant who refused to seat us, stating that the restaurant was closed to prepare for lunch service. We had to return later for lunch. Fortunately, the food was excellent, although very expensive for what was offered. We had made reservations for the wine tasting as well as for dinner, but ultimately cancelled the dinner reservation and opted for a much better option in Sainte‑Adèle. We left the next morning frustrated with the service and stopped for breakfast in Sainte‑Adèle, where we enjoyed an excellent meal. It is a very beautiful hotel with excellent facilities, but unfortunately our experience was overshadowed by indifferent housekeeping and restaurant service that showed little attentiveness to guests.
