This was my second time to travel to China for an international youth event hosted by its local youth group. This time they billeted us to Nanning Hotel. What I liked about this hotel is the location and the facilities. Nanning Hotel is located near big malls, convenient stores and restaurants. You can just walk a few step then you are in a mall or a restaurant. The rooms are great! It was clean and comfy. They have beautiful comfort rooms that are being cleaned every day. Evidences are attached in this comment. A really great place to stay for a foreign guest like me.

“Good choice”

Great and complete hotel. Excellent and comfortable rooms. With great details like slippers and shoe polisher. Huge bathroom. Everything hyper clean. Two (or three) restaurantes with tipical food available so you don't need to go outisde the hotel. located in the middle of commercial area.

We enjoyed out stay. The amenities offered in the room were great. Sterilized Towels in individual packages. All the necessary bathroom items (toothbrushes, earbuds, razor/shaving cream etc.) Hot water shower and a comfortable bed. There is a refrigerator and a work space in the room (stapler, paperclips, sticky notes etc.) Two English speaking movie channels. Lots of choices with the buffet breakfast but there was no "hot" tea offered. The biggest problem we had was the preset room temperature but we were able to get a fan which helped tremendously. The map that comes up with Agoda is terrible. To find the hotel, ride the subway to the Chaoyang Square station and take Exit G. The hotel is on you left. Lots of shopping and food choices close by. There is even a Walmart across the street.

We spent one week at this hotel on our recent visit to China. The check-in experience was not very good, only one person at the front desk, no welcome greeting, no smile. They do not seem to speak any English. We had reserved a non-smoking Queen room in a quiet location of the hotel, however the room they gave us on the 10th floor was next to the elevator and when we walked into the room, the cigarette smell was very strong. So back to the front desk we went and they did not seem very cooperative, however, my wife speaks Chinese so we were able to speak to the Manager who was very nice and changed us to a smoke-free room on the 11th floor. However it was called an upgraded room so we had to pay an additional 100 CNY per night which was worth it. The room was very good with a nice view of the shopping area across from the hotel. The room had a queen bed, desk, fridge, TV, table, hot water pot with tea, but no coffee, good bath & shower. The lights in the room were hard to figure out, the TV had only 1 English station, CGTV. The TV takes about 2-3 minutes to turn on. The room had the usual amenities including 2 small 350 ml waters each day.. The 2nd night we had people in the next room who talked virtually all night, the walls are thin, fortunately they left after one night. This is supposed to be a "green" hotel, so we did not understand why the towels and face cloths were wrapped in separate bags each day, you have to tear open the bag and discard it, seems like a waste. Only 1 of our 2 keycards worked so had to go back to the front desk. They have an English newspaper, the China Daily News, in the lobby but it was always 1-3 days old. The room had no heat, we visited the end of October and it was rainy, cloudy and cool in the mornings, when asked why no heat, we were told it was not winter. The breakfast was quite good and was on the 8th floor of the Fortune building next to the main building, of course the food was mostly Asian type. If you go before 8:30 they were very busy and hard to get a table, after 8:30 less crowded. The tables were not cleaned properly, they just clear the dishes and leave the table mats for the next person without cleaning them, so be careful and clean it yourself, also no forks or knives so you have to ask. This is an older hotel, attractive from the street, has a nice lobby area. I felt the hotel really does not care about foreign visitors, they rely on business people and weddings, not very good for foreign tourists.
