“Cycling stay”

Perfectly adequate hotel for a cycling group. Rooms are basic but clean. You can keep bikes in your room. They laid on an early breakfast for a 7am getaway. There are additional facilities such as a swimming pool.

I spent five nights here near the end of the summer holidays, and i'm satisfied that all is exactly as advertised. The rooms are neither large nor luxurious, but functional, comfortable, and up to three star standards, in particular considering the alpine setting where rooms are usually a bit smaller. The sauna and swimming pool had reasonable opening hours and everything was in working order. Admittedly, everything is extremely small in the sauna/pool area: If three people enter the sauna at once, it is full, with four, it would be overcrowded. When i pushed myself off one wall of the pool with my legs, i could touch the opposing wall (in the longer direction) without doing a single swim stroke or drawing a single breath in between. There are exactly two showers and exactly one WC in the sauna/pool area. The Jacuzzi was in use every single time i used the sauna, so it must be worth it for people who like it, and there were always guests taking profit of the beauty services. Remember that you can't really expect a very large spa area in a three-star hotel, pools are often tiny even in four-star hotels. The breakfast is acceptable by Continental three-star standards and probably above average by French standards (of course there is nothing that travellers from England might expect in a breakfast). The dinner is acceptable by international standards and probably slightly below average by French standards; in any case, there is nothing special about the meals. Service is very amiable, and the staff is always helpful. Some people have complained about the prices, but i actually consider them quite moderate. So close to the most famous French ski stations, accomodation is in general much more expensive than elsewhere. I think i'd come again and recommend the hotel for anyone except those who are both in search of the extraordinary and willing to spend a lot of money on it.

“Food good, location good rooms not so good”

We stopped here as its within easy reach of the La Plagne ski slopes. The rooms were cramped and old fashioned but the food was good. The staff were friendly and helpful but the hotel could do with updating especially the en-suite.
