“Lovely quiet appartment, with great views and facilities”

Lovely apartment. Ideal for our family. Quiet location. Easy access to the slopes. Plenty of space to cook, eat and relax. Added bonus of a gorgeous Spa at the end of a hard days skiing. I would thoroughly recommend staying here.

We stayed in a lovely apartment and found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The pool and spa facilities were great. I would book to stay here again.

I stayed at the Residence Chalets Des Neiges Hermine via Crystal Ski 7th-14th March 2026 with a group totalling 5 of us (lads). The website is pretty accurate to the location, hill to get up and down to the strip for food and drinks, the facilities are good but there are some issues to address. The accommodation was perfect for a family of say... 4 (2x aduls sharing a double, then 1 per room would be perfect but the twin rooms are small). We had 2 twin rooms and had emailed ahead in April 2025 direct to the hotel, also to crystal and had multiple emails sent asking to ensure the twin rooms were set up as twins, not as double rooms as we as a group of lads didnt want to snuggle. unfortunately, my room was indeed set up as a double. We had to move the beds apart but this left me without a wardrobe to store clothes in and was left living out of a set of travel cubes on the floor under the bed. There isnt any storeage space for suitcases, ski bags etc due to the size of the chalet so these were also cluttering the rooms. I addressed this with reception and they were great but couldnt actuially help as the entire hotel had been fully booked. I also raised this with the Crystal Rep who again was appologetic but obviously couldnt change this or help. Issues that I found. - Fireplace. The chimney was either blocked or not suitable for a fire as the room was very much smokey with the vent of the chimney open. This isnt normal. As such, we only lit the fire once. I didnt raise it with reception as I genuinely forgot to the following day. - Hot tub. It is HOT. Amazing for after ski relaxing but it gets mega busy. It was lovely when quiet. However. The set up is actually dangerous. The steps leading up to the tub make you think the steps IN to the tub are directly in front, they arent. They are off to the right. This means you can either take a big step in to the tub (not great if youre short and have bad knees, or you walk around the tub and use the proper steps in. This is a serious safety issue as the hot tub is high up above the pool and only has a few ropes not properly secured to the ceiling to stop you from falling. Again, I raised this with reception and they obviously cant change this immediately but this does need addressing as it wont be long before an accident occurs. Spa is lovely, Sauna, Steam room, Pool are all lovely and have a lovely view besides the issues with the hot tub. I enjoyed the facilities. - Ski room. It has only 1 bench due to the size of the room. This is insane first thing in the morning when getting kit. There are a LOT of guests all trying to get their boots on, skis out and get out the hotel. its chaos. I kept my boots in the room and got them on there instead as it was too much stress dealing with zero space. Then navigating the stairs in boots. What they could do is move some of the ski lockers in to the garage area creating more space and thus closer to the slope and not having to navigate stairs before and after skiing. - Ski IN. It is a ski in but ONLY if you CAN SKI confident hard reds. Ski IN access is via Corniche (Red - It says on some maps its a blue, it is until you get to the steep bit and the turn off for the ski in to the chalet). I managed this but there needs to be a platform and steps made to make the final access to the hotel easier. At the minute, there is a massive 4-5ft drop you have to slide down on your bum and thats not great in ski boots nor with Ski mojo fittings. A simple platform could be made for a few $$$ and this makes life so much easier. It wont make the route easier, but the final bit is the most sketchy. There is an alternative easier route that is about 200m walk back up the hill from Plein Sud via Hotel Koh-I-Nor area. SKI OUT: - This is only a few hundred meters, maybe 150-200m walk and is ok to do in boots again, at the base of Hotel Koh-I-Nor. Pros: - Bread delivery in the morning is HIGHLY recommended. Lovely fresh and LARGE loaves, croisants, pain au chocolat etc. Definitely recommend. - Spa area is great, less the issues mentioned above. - Reception team were amazing and lovely, English speaking was superb. - Mini Ski shop in the hotel is great but I didnt actually use it per se. - Ski in/out (ish). Cons: - As above. - Ski locker room - Hot tub safety concern - The lift.... it has a mind of its own. You press 0, you go to 5. You press 0, you go to 2, sometimes it gets it right. On a busy day, forget it. Use the stairs. - Fireplace. As said, it may just have been us, but it wasnt the best. - Kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need. Dishwasher, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Kettle, Coffee perculator, Fridge freezer (large), but there is zero food prep work space. Absolutely massive table to sit at, but no work space. I dont fancy prepping meats and the food on the dinner table, make it smaller and put in a larger work surface. Especialy storeage space for self catering food cupboards. - Twin rooms are not really twin rooms suitable for adults. Small kids perhaps, but not adults or teens. Ive added photos so excuse the mess but this shows the limited space and issues. Overall: I do recommend the hotel, I genuinely do. I enjoyed the stay but the issues must be addressed. Reception team were lovely and the stay was overall pretty good. Thank you to the lovely ladies and I wish you all the best. :-)

Lovely apartment for 12 people. well kitted out. Only downside was it Lacked room for drying and hanging ski clothing for 12 people and the drains in showers were smelly. Reception staff very helpful & pool etc was great. If you could move the apartment closer to main area would stay again. Not… more

Reception staff very helpful & pool etc was great. If you could move the apartment closer to main area would stay again. Not ski in/out & a walk up a steep road to get back with all your kit wore thin after a couple of days.
