One night well slept in a four bedroom farmhouse all to ourselves here at Suzel. We were on our way to Italy from the UK and this was our second night stop, allowing us to divert off and slice a corner off the Autoroutes. Met with politeness and charm on arrival by Julie in a modern and efficient reception environment we were left a little wondering from the photos we'd seen of our room in a traditional farmhouse, of where our room was actually going to be sited. Not to fear, our room was found near by behind a gated and traditionally stone walled boundary and no one else was staying in our building that night. This is important to note as the farmhouse has 4 bedrooms and two shared bathrooms, being alone meant that we had the run of the house, it would feel different if you were sharing the facility with the other three rooms occupied. WE SLEPT VERY WELL. Breakfast was prepared by Julie and provided in the farmhouse kitchen. A good rage of croissants, meats, cheese, fruit and conserves. Tres Bien! Externally the very small pool provided a quick dip to cool down and relax after a long journey, the delightful herb garden reminded us of 19thC kitchen gardens and teh surrounding farmland was very pleasing to the eye. We will be returning for a longer stay to sample the huge variety of activities on offer. Julie is a Star for whom, very naturally, nothing was too much trouble.

“Great classic place”

Great location in wonderfull setting. Hotel is absolutly gorgious. Rooms are spacious old stil. Only commeNt is internet did not work in my room and shower is typical french, need to hold in hand but will for sure come back.

Probably best to take as a family holiday experience due to not all rooms have en-suit facilities, so you have to share a bathroom. Probably best to take as a family holiday experience due to not all rooms have en-suit facilities, so you have to share a bathroom. Fortunately I had the main house to myself so this was not an issue. But as a business traveller I would not usually expect to have to share my bathroom. But as explained by the owner he did not to ruin the feel of the property so I respect his opinion as it is a lovely old property. Next time I think I will try the castle/ keep or the tree house in the summer. Had a great 5km run, around the countryside in a large circle. Views of the valley with the snow / frost embraced in early morning mist as the sun rose the views even more stunning.
