I travel to Brie-Comte-Robert every summer and have stayed in a few other local hotels. This one is my favorite but it still has it quirks. The rooms are significantly larger than most. Finding a hotel with A/C in Europe is difficult. This one has it - and the unit actually pushes out cold air "by US standard". (not always the case.) The quirks: even though the rooms are "non-smoking" - they ALL smell like smoke. I travel with concentrated room spray & spray it directly INTO the A/C unit & on the carpet when I arrive and each day when I leave. The shampoo, conditioner amenities that you're used to - not a thing in Europe. Bring your own. As well as washcloths. This is a small town, so not all of the staff speak English. They try their best! And the staff are are really nice and want to help. This is a great central Brie location. You're across the parking lot from HyperU (think Wal-mart/K-Mart with a full grocery) but they close at 8:30p and aren't open on Sunday. McDonalds & Quick are walking distance fast food. Courtepaille is as well. It's like a French Applebees. Marie Blachere is a bakery & cheese market down the street. SO GOOD!!

“Old style”

The building is quite old, as the room furnitures and arrangement in general. Breakfast is ok, but general appearance could be improved. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good as starting/support point in case of business trip to nearby activities.

“Over priced, strange hotel”

stayed one night business trip, this is a very tired old hotel, rooms are scruffy and a poor standard, the service was good, but let down by the hotel itself, in todays market for nearly 100€ you can and should get a lot better, never again by choice

My wife, my 20 months old son and I stayed at the Campanile Brie Comte Robert for two nights and had what we paid for. The room was quite small but had a modern and fresh (at first) style, with a flat screen TV and coffee facilities, and en-suite bathroom. It looked like it had been recently renovated (although rather cheaply), or renovated a few years ago (and starting to decay). Insulation was not that good, and since the hotel is in a commercial area close to a frequented highway, it could have been a problem. We were tired, and the beds were pretty good so it did not affect us that much. Free and functioning WIFI in the room, that's a good point. Breakfast buffet was good. However, no safe in the room, so we had to carry all our stuff on us all the time. The outside of the hotel badly needs renovation. The person at the reception did not read our booking properly or completely and forgot that we had asked for a crib in the room. Fortunately, they had one in stock. To sum up, nothing unexpected for a chain hotel at this price. It was clean, convenient, and we had two good nights sleep.
