On approaching the hotel it was difficult to know what we were going to find as we entered from the car park at the rear of the hotel. On entering the hotel we found a very clean and tidy breakfast room , we'd entered by the wrong door! Reception was near by and receptionist was very welcoming and efficient and on no time we had our room keys. Our rooms were in an annex, the room was a good size and perfectly clear and up to date. The bathroom had no bath but the shower was a good size. The room had a good sized double bed and a desk big enough to do some work. However, the room was a little cold and the window had been left opened. The heating was easy enough but took some time to heat the room so it was little cold when I completed some work. We had booked a table for the restaurant and were very welcomed when we entered the restaurant. The menu was nicely varied but I chose a simple steak with fries, it was accompanied by a very nice salad. The quality of the food was excellent and the wine selection was good and reasonably priced. On returning to my room the temperature was just about right, the bed was very comfortable but the room got a little hot in the night which I acknowledge was my fault. The breakfast in the morning was very good with a good selection of bread, meats, cheeses, fruits, juice tea and coffee. The only minor thing I could fault would be that I could not find and gluten-free bread and the staff did not appear once they had welcomed us. However, that said I was happy with the breakfast, check out took a few minutes due the few staff (one) who suddenly had a number of issues to deal with. Overall, I think this hotel is well worth a visit if you're visiting this very pretty part of Germany.

I thought I was in the middle of nowhere then out of the agricultural landscape appeared a really old German small town. The hotel is set in the old square in the centre of the town. The lady behind reception was so helpful. I was shown to my room which was much larger than I expected. It was well furnished and really comfortable. Oh dear no lift and 2 flights of stairs to conquer. I returned to the bar/ restaurant a really good selection of hearty food on offer which was really well presented and extremely tasty. The whole hotel was clean and fresh. Breakfast was the usual German breakfast... lots of fresh bread and pastries a huge selection of fresh fruit, cheeses and meats.

overpriced, restaurant serves german dishes overpriced too 25 euro plus. good location, park the car and you are in the center of town. entrance had some wedding deco i guess for this weekend. meutermedia

My room was situated in the adjoining building on the 1st floor, the Stammhaus. There are no lifts, so you need to lug your suitcases yourself. There are 2 floors. Don't pack too much! But there is a lift in the main hotel. Two single beds in the room and those are small single beds. I asked for them to be placed next to each other which made sleeping quality much better and you don't fall out of the bed if you are used to double beds. Mattress firm and good pillows. The room is very dark at night. The room was large and enough space to move around. A small table and arm chair in room as well as a desk against the wall. No ceiling light in bedroom, only in the entrance area. Just enough lighting if all wall and desk lamps are switched on. Plenty of cupboard space and hangars. No safe in the room. You can store valuables at reception but I was ensured that your items are safe in the room and no theft had ever occurred. Big bathroom with small shower cubicle. Hairdryer. Shower has good water pressure. Shower handle can be removed from cradle and used as hand shower. There is not enough space to place your toiletries so used the floor. No fan, no aircon. Could be a problem if it is really hot. Lights in passage are activated when you exit your room and switch off after a few minutes. Going down the stairs in the dark is a challenge. Continental breakfast was good. Fresh breads, boiled eggs, cereal, yogurts, cheeses, meats. Your typical german breakfast. Very friendly staff and they try and accommodate any request you may have. The food in the hotel restaurant was excellent.
