“Clean, nice, friendly staff, great breakfast”

We arrived at this very nice, modern, clean and well located hotel to spend one night during our road trip, and it was perfect. The sporty decor was really cool and they had delicious schnapps. Breakfast was wonderful.

It was a nice experience at this hotel. The staff was very friendly esp Claus and Danish. Indeed Danish even offered me to pack the breakfast on my last day since I had to checkout early at 5:30 am. Breakfast options were good though it was very crowded due to peak season and mountainman race. The access with card was very confusing, since the elevators don’t stop at ground floor in early morning so you need to exit from basement parking and then come back through main entrance to drop the card. The location of hotel is very close to treks and cable car for the mountains in the area but you need to have car to have access from the highway if you are coming by train. The room is good and spacious but with very limited amenities. You can find a nice balcony in most of the rooms overlooking amazing views.

It was a bit of a disappointment compared to the price. The location is 10/10 and staff was friendly but the room was full of plastic, no airco/ventilation and due to all the mosquitos you can not leave the door open so you can decide to either sleep together with mosquitos or sleep in an airless, warm room in the summer. There was also a strong smell coming out of our bathroom from the first day and there was also no visible ventilation in the bathroom. The pillows were also very flat so we didn’t sleep good for 3 days there. Our dog also struggled from the warm room and we had to pay 20 € / day !!! For our dog which is crazy high price. In the daytime if you wanted to drink a coffee you had to pay 4.6€ for their machine coffee which was absolutely not nice. It’s a budget hotel and yet I ended up paying the same price as if I would have been in a 4 star hotel. We will not come back.

“Poor Customer Service by Management Staff”

We had an unpleasant experience at the hotel and were utterly disappointed on the handling of the situation by the hotel management staff. It was supposed to be a delightful day with nice weather for our outing in Nesselwang. My parents went down to the restaurant for breakfast and waited for me and my boyfriend before going out for a walk. As usual, my father brought his bag containing his daily medications in a thin sandwich box. All was good till when we were about to leave the restaurant, a lady staff asked my father if he was done with his breakfast in a stern voice tone. Then, she went to my boyfriend and informed him that she will charge us for a take away lunch. We were puzzled when she told my boyfriend that she saw us putting foods into my father’s bag again and again. We offered to open our bags on the spot to proof that we didn’t take anything from the buffet. The staff refused to verify and even showed bad attitude towards us. She stared at us and refused to answer when we tried to seek clarification. This upset us a great deal. First, the staff didn’t seek clarification immediately and insisted on something that didn’t occur at all. Second, she accused us and refused to verify her accusation. Third, she showed bad attitude and was very unprofessional in service. She refused to apologize when it happened. We cannot let this matter off as it was an insult to us and we demanded justice and an apology. We asked to see the manager since the matter cannot be settled on the spot. Unfortunately, the manager was not available till afternoon. The staff who accused us spoke to my father later that day and apologized after realizing she was in the wrong. We met the manager that afternoon during our checkout. He seemed not to be aware of the situation even though it was reported this morning. Bizarrely, he insisted that lunch boxes are not allowed in the breakfast buffet area. It was difficult to make him listen to our explanation as he said he needed to defend for his staff. Nevertheless, he promised to find out more and get back to us. It has been a week and we heard nothing from them. This situation was extremely poorly managed by the hotel management. We are still deeply upset by the matter.
