“Business Trip”

Rooms are a bit dated and need a renovation (new curtains & paint). However they are clean and comfortable but there was only 2 single beds in my room and I'm used to a double. Rooms are a bit dated and need a renovation (new curtains & paint). However they are clean and comfortable but there was only 2 single beds in my room and I'm used to a double. Breakfast is ok, lots of fresh fruit, yoghurt, fresh waffles and the usual meat and changes. The restaurant evening meals are superb, fantastic choice and all expertly cooked. All waiters and restaurant staff are polite and attentive and very professional. I was allowed to check in at 10:30am to coincide with my flights from the UK. The reception staff were also very helpful and attentive although I didn't have any reason to speak with them during my stay only on arrival and departure. Will definitely be staying here again.

Traditional and well appointed hotel in lovely surroundings next to a lake, although it was raining heavily when i was there! Can be a good base for Berlin, particularly if travelling by car from the south- it takes about 30 minutes to get into Berlin centre. The rooms are an OK size but starting to look a bit worn in places - the bathroom in particular could do with some attention and I detected a slight whiff of the drains.Comfortable bed. Big party downstairs so some rooms much suffer from disturbing music. Sufficient car parking spaces. Breakfast was good, the usual fare in such German hotels but always look for a slight variation - not the case here. A pleasant although not spectacular stay.

This hotel has a good setting by a lake so views from the gardens and some rooms are very attractive. I have noted that the hotel was noisy;this is explained by the extensive renovations taking place both outside where a swimming pool is being constructed and inside where a whole corridor of rooms was being renovated. I was a guest as part of a conference and food was very plentiful, varied and tasty. It was all well-organised in a dining room which overlooks the lake. Hotel staff were very helpful and polite. The rooms have a key which needs to be left at reception. This was always effected with a smile. One improvement would be a guest directory in the room to inform guests of meal times, activities to do nearby etc
