We booked this hotel as a base for our weeks visit to the Harz National Park, it was our first visit so we weren't sure what to expect of the area or the Hotel. When we arrived we were made very welcome and as we had booked half board how that worked was explained as well. We were shown to our "room" on the first flour above the swimming pool. I say room but it turned out to be a complete suite, large bedroom with balcony, living room with balcony and a very large bathroom with large bath and separate shower. The whole area was light and very clean, lots of places to put your clothes, important when staying for a week, television, audio system everything you would need. We were offered the opportunity to park our motorcycles in the garage, but decided they would be safe enough in the car park. Once settled in we went downstairs to use the swimming pool which was again very clean with bright sunshine coming through the windows, very nice. The water was a good temperature and we had a good swim. We eventually used the pool just about every day. The breakfast was a buffet help yourself to as much as you want and it was always fresh and very enjoyable. Evening meal was four courses, you chose your main course during the previous days breakfast. The evening meals were always good as was the beer and the wine. The hotel also uploaded recommended routes to our Garmin SatNav so we could be sure of picturesque days out. The Hotel is set in a small quiet village a short distance from the main town of Osterode, with easy access to the Harz National park. In summary this hotel is one of the best we have stayed at, the staff were friendly and very helpful, they all spoke English which helps. The food was always good and we had a great stay.

My purpose of visit is business meeting near this place, the hotel itself was very nice with simple equipment, location here is siutable to spend not only a day but couple of days for cycling, walking and reluxing. The staff of hotel were also friendly to us with smiling. several restaurants are located arround there such as italian and western style bars.

“Quiet hotel for one night stay.”

Very friendly service. Large rooms and bathroom. Enough place for a car. A good selection of dishes in the restaurant. A small elevator. Not very fresh carpeting- it on a 4-star hotel. Breakfast buffet - minimum required. Coffee from express.

“nice place for a nights stay”

Very traditional hotel. Room was clean and spacious, but basic. Had a pool and sauna which were empty apart from me. Breakfast was plentiful in the morning. Bar was cosy and staff friendly. Not much to do in the immediate vicinity.
