I recently stayed at the Arador-City Hotel for 2 nights. A great location, easy walking to downtown by foot or with a vehicle. Ample parking on site, nice breakfast and also included in the price. The rooms are extremely clean and have a table top fan in each, as no air conditioning. The sky light in my room also opened, so as to provide more circulation. The hotel is very near the train tracks however, despite same the rooms are relatively quiet. The hotel staff are extremly helpful and fluent in English...I'd suggest staying at this location.

“Stay in Arador Hotel”

I have stayed in Arador to be able to attend the Hannover messe exhibition.. The hotel is a nice small hotel, a little old..the hostess was very nice...walking distance to the train station..many restaurants are nearby...needs a little renovation

“Clean but noisy”

The Arador City Hotel is just beside a railway track, so it was noisy. We had to close our window which helped, but this would not be practical if it was a hot day. The Arador City Hotel is just beside a railway track, so it was noisy. We had to close our window which helped, but this would not be practical if it was a hot day. Although our room was a non-smoking room, there was the smell of cigarette smoke in the corridor. The hotel has limited parking, but there is a cheap covered car park (€6 at time of writing) just on the other side of the railway track. On the plus side, our room was a good size, clean and well maintained.

“Very clean - Noisy trains”

Our group stayed one night here because other Hotels were full. First impressions good. Friendly staff who speak English. Had single room on top floor but plenty of room for me. Very clean with comfy single bed, en-suite with nice hot shower. Despite no-smoking signs my room smelled of smoke.… more

Our group stayed one night here because other Hotels were full. First impressions good. Friendly staff who speak English. Had single room on top floor but plenty of room for me. Very clean with comfy single bed, en-suite with nice hot shower. Despite no-smoking signs my room smelled of smoke. Hotel is very close to railway line & freight trains go all night. Its not so obvious in all the rooms but would be worse in summer when you want to leave your window open. Super breakfast buffet with plenty of choice.

“A smoky hotel”

As I walked into reception I was hit by a strong smell of cigaret smoke. As a known smoker, not a good start to my visit. The rooms claim to be "no-smoking", but due to the smell in the hall and stairway, we could still smell it in our room. In our room we found ear-plugs and it soon became apparent why these would be necessary. The hotel lies next to a busy railway line. At night we had to keep the window closed, but we could still hear the trains. This would be unbearable we if had stayed during a warm summer. As it was we stayed in October, but I still prefer to sleep with a window open. On a positive note the breakfast buffet was good with a wide range of choice. Although there were quite a few parking spaces, I am not sure there are sufficient if the hotel is full. Also maneuvering into and out of some of the spaces was not easy. The hotel was a 10minute walk to the Bali Thermen and city centre, so convenient from that point of view. The smoke smell and the train noise mean I would not recommend this hotel.
