“Wonderful find at short notice”
We were driving from London to Berlin and on the return leg we decided to pop into Freudenberg, so glad we did,Beautiful town but we arrived late and of course everything was shut, our fault entirely.Hotel was suitable if a little dated. “Home town”
Was born here but not been back for 25 years...but it does not disappoint...authentic and classic...very typical german. .everything i remembered it to be...great places to visit and to eat. Stayed in a BnB close to town. Will definately not leave it so long in the future.

Hotel in a good position right in the heart of beautiful village of Freudenberg with its black and white houses. Very helpful, chatty receptionist who spoke good English. “Comfortable stay”
Visited freudenbery twice in November and December and stayed at Zur Alt Stad both times. Conveniently located and seems to be a popular hotel with many business visitors. The service was good, breakfast spread was also good. Has a good restaurant which is quite popular among the locals.

“Good and Basic”
Good clean and silent hotel in the oldtown. Forse sure 4* hotels are different. This one is only the best in town. Food is ok with some bizzarre experiences but need to try once. I've ben there several time and I'll be back.
