This hotel is situated in a lovely area, right beside the forest and with easy access to a lake which you can walk around. It is a great base to explore the area, visit Efteling and there are plenty of walking / bicycle routes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food at breakfast has a great choice and there is always someone topping up. All food is fresh and you sit in the restaurant with a view of the forest and can hear the birds singing as you eat. We had dinner included in our price and it was very good. Big portions, very fresh and tasty. No complaints at all. We had a 5 year old with us and his menu options were good and catered well for him. They also made it fun with drinks in a 'Fletcher' cup and ice cream in a dog shaped 'Fletcher' cup We had 1 family room which was a good size with a seperate bedroom for our son. It was on the top floor so we had a nice view of the forest. Only complaint was that it could have had more of a clean. It was quite dusty, there was an apple under the radiator that was stuck and the carpet could do with a hoover. The beds / bathroom all fine. They will only clean your room if you leave your hanger out in the morning, but this was only for a towel / bin change. They did not make the beds or hoover Overall a great hotel, location is excellent, it is very relaxed, the food is very good and the staff helpful. Yes, thh rooms are a little tired and they definitely need a bit more attention to detail for cleaning, but we would most definitely stay again as the area is fantastic

Start your morning hike, right from this comfortable get away amidst the Oisterwijkse Vennen and Kampina. Room was comfortable and on site restaurant has a nice meal selection.

I stayed here with my wife and adult daughter for four nights. We found it very comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is surrounded by woods and lakes. As well as dining in the hotel we tried several of the restaurants next door to the hotel and in Oisterwijk. There is plenty to see in the neighbourhood, such as Kasteel Nemelaer, where we enjoyed delicious hazelnut meringues or the Loonse and Drunense Duinen landscape, a large area of sand-dunes. The car park leaves a lot to be desired, but otherwise a most enjoyable break.

I suppose average just about sums up this hotel. Some things were good - reception staff were friendly and efficient, bed was comfortable and it is in a quiet setting. What lets it down is the poor choice at breakfast (what is there is ok) and absence of staff to replenish as things run out. One guy in the kitchen seemed to be preparing food and topping up - needs more staff than this to keep on top of things. Also in the minus column is no tea or coffee making facility in the rooms - come on, this is 21st century. And finally, only had one evening meal in hotel as staff were not helpful, in fact quite surly, which is unusual for the Dutch. I was booked for a single room and had a decent size twin room. It was a bit gloomy due to trees outside but I accept that is the price of a really quiet room, away from any hustle and bustle. Bathroom was adequate but surprised that there was no soap dispenser in the shower, only shampoo. Soap dispenser was by hand basin and it would have been necessary to get out of shower to use soap dispenser. A plus for the hotel is that they’ve just constructed a new cycle storage shed, very large and when locked, very secure. There’s plenty of parking. Our group walked into the town most evenings (put off the restaurant in hotel by staff attitude), and this took about half an hour. In my view it would take very little to move this hotel from average to very good - hot drink facility in room, soap dispenser in shower, and improved method of selection of staff serving in the restaurant.
