“Decent quality accommodation for the price”

For our holiday from Australia to Holland to visit my partner's family, we booked 2 houses for 3 weeks for our family of 2 parents and 3 kids (2 adult kids and 1 teenager). It was half the price of booking an Airbnb. The kids had a 3 bedroom house and we had a 1 bedroom. Location - suitable for our needs but not near shops etc. We were very lucky to not hear any noise from the freeway. Maybe this was because it was Winter and we had the windows and doors closed. However, we frequently walked between the 2 houses (they were about 100m apart) and never noticed freeway noise. I also walked around the grounds most days for fitness, and again never noticed any excessive noise. Houses - they were reasonably well equipped and comfortable enough for our needs. Plenty of room and beds were comfortable. The heating was adequate, and the shower water was nice and hot. We did ask reception about the hot water in one of the houses and it was fixed promptly and without fuss. Pool and recreation - My partner and the kids used the indoor pool and were happy with it. Nothing to complain about. They used the basketball court a few times as well. Restaurant - we only saw the restaurant open once in the entire 3 weeks which wasn't a problem for us as we were either self catering or having meals elsewhere. We did have coffee one afternoon at the restaurant and it was fine. Reception - only open a couple of days a week but that was ok with us. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Other costs - towels for showers are not included and they are expensive, so is using the washing machines! Each load of washing is 6.50 euros. We needed to do a few loads (5 people x 20 days) PLUS bed linen and towels. We probably spent about 100 euros on washing plus washing powder (we needed the dryer for the bed linen so that increased the cost of course) Other - each house was provided with a very small welcome pack, with 2 dishwasher tablets, a tiny bottle of dishwashing liquid, a dishcloth, and a roll of toilet paper. This could be improved to include some handwash at the very least. Overall, Europarcs Biesbosch for absolutely fine for our needs, reasonably priced and comfortable.
