We have just come back from our holiday after a week and I genuinely can't think of a place more deserving of 5 stars. When we arrived we were met by the lovely Katia who showed us around the grounds, she gave us a tour which was helpful and informative and was a really nice welcome into the week! We saw her a few times throughout our stay and she was really nice and friendly to talk to. We also made use of the all inclusive dinner and buffet most days which was good and the staff are really attentive. Thankyou to Giovanni and Antonino for their service and charm, there are others in the restaurant who's names I didn't catch but thankyou to you also! When we weren't in the hotel we were out exploring and made use of the hotel's free shuttle bus service that takes you to Sorrento. It's important to note that if you wish to use this, make sure you book the day before you wish to travel, as spots get taken quickly, particularly 9-10am. Special thanks to Enrico and Gennaro, the drivers, who were always on time and really good drivers! Very grateful for you both. Finally I want to give a special thankyou to Alexandra who made our trip really special. We were travelling to Positano one night and we didn't have a way of getting back to the hotel in the late evening so explained the situation to her and she went above and beyond for us. She spent a lot of her time sorting a taxi for us, explained everything in such depth, I'm autistic so this was particularly good for me having details explained, meeting point, driver, times, she communicated on our behalf, she is truly outstanding. She even said to check back in with her about the day which I found really sweet and she made a genuine effort to connect and take care of me/us. She treated us like we were more than just guests at a hotel but like friends she'd known a long time. We ran into her again when leaving for the airport and she gave me a big hug. She is truly an angel on earth and the sweetest person, a true asset to this place. Thankyou for everything Alexandra, you will be missed dearly. Also honourable mention to Napoleon, the hotel's cat, for providing excellent service and cuddles. 10/10 -Teigan, 326🫶🏻❤️xx

Just left & highly recommend rhus hidden gem 20 minutes out of Sorrento Welcomed at 11pm with a glass of Prosecco & delicious selection of food - along with wines Check in was super quick & efficient Beautiful modern room in the main building - Felicia kept it pristine each day Food all amazing - very high quality & always a large selection - fabulous cocktails & wines - pools were heated & also kept super clean Yes, in places it could benefit from paint work touching up but it just adds to the rustic italian charm. The staff are what really makes the Hotel stand out - Mario, Adhil, Luan, Manosh, Alssia, Jusippe, Ciro, the lifeguard & Katia on Reception - please tip as everyone works so hard & really deserve it. Already booked to return!

First the good: - Lovely hotel, very quiet, very clean, excellent staff, comfy beds, decent food, good choice of drinks. Giovanni (Maitre D), Ciro (bartender), Danielle (waitress), Tania and Luan (Pool Bar) all deserve a mention in dispatches. Great service. There was also a bartender in the main lounge bar, with a pony tail (sadly I didn't catch her name) was also very good. Felicia our maid was also excellent, cleaning and tidying our room daily, making beds and changing towels too. Thank you all. Good base for Amalfi coast, see it by yourself by public bus for pennies compared to guided tour. The not so good: - location, high on the hills above Sorrento the shuttle bus is needed to get to and from the town itself, the road can't be walked or cycled by 99% of people and taxis are horrendously expensive in the area. The shuttle bus slots fill up quickly and needs to be booked the day/night before - could do with more slots or another bus. We first visited this hotel/area in 2023 and it was excellent - in all areas, most of the same staff remained and the additions are a bonus to the team. There were a lot of 'youngsters' and by that I mean under 30's who perhaps booked an all inclusive hotel experience thinking it would be like Mexico or Turkey - all inclusive here means everything you need is supplied in the price, what you don't get is 24 hour amenities like snack bars, sports bars, foam parties or the bar open until 3am. The dress code for the main dining room states long trousers and a collared shirt for me or dress/tailored shorts (no cargo style shorts). These standards were not enforced - Personally, they should be to preserve the integrity of the hotel and its patrons, many of whom return year on year. Shame

Well what can I say, the hotel is definitely not a 4 star experience, the hotel needs a good lick of paint and facilities upgraded. Some areas seem wasted such as the garden, which actually has hot tubs but this wasn't told on the initial introduction around the area. The jacuzzis, in the main pool have less power than a broken hairdryer. Some parts are just rusty and the wood around the pool needs redone and things tightened up, new deck chairs and some money spent. The hotel isn't disabled friendly, which seems a loss as the majority of the other travellers were older and found the hills and steps a challenge. The food was alright, lunches were good and there is a variety but the buffet part of the dinners just seemed recycled food from the day before and some food isnt displayed as to what it actually is, there were cakes with no labels and when asking what was what I was quickly told in grunts, so went with tiramasu as its the only one I heard. The majority of staff were great and attentive, there are some staff that are clearly unhappy to be there or just hate tourists in general. Also some staff that bark orders at the waiters in full sight, I can only imagine what its like when people aren't there. The rooms are fair, need a bit of updating, stronger hair dryer and an ironing board, they are cleaned and tidied well each day. Also there no need for the ridiculously hard decorative pillows! The bus service is the biggest disappointment, the drivers are fantastic but the times need to change. The first bus is 8am which you need to pay for and for trips that are earlier a taxi is needed, which is around £50, there is no bus between 10am till 3pm then again between half 6 and 10pm, which makes it awkward getting back after days out, we wanted to stay in Capri for longer but that would mean waiting until 10 to return back, they should be every hour, which would make more sense as there are two drivers. Overall its a quaint hotel, needs some TLC and upgraded facilities, such as the bar open at the relaxation pool and that pool also to be heated would make sense, bus service definitely needs an overhaul, food needs a bit more taste and the surprise menus need to go. We got a good deal on the price but if it was anymore this would be even less of a rating
