We recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel again, and once more, it exceeded our expectations in every way. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by warm, welcoming, and attentive staff who made the check-in process smooth and completely stress- Our room was immaculate—spotlessly clean, spacious, and thoughtfully prepared—with comfortable bedding and all the amenities needed for a truly relaxing stay. The facilities were equally impressive, particularly the well-maintained pool and the peaceful common areas, which provided the perfect setting to unwind. The location is ideal, offering easy access to the Marina and Old Town, making it both convenient and enjoyable to explore the surroundings. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the exceptional staff and all the management of Pickelabratros Hotels — they are truly second to none. Overall, the combination of outstanding service, comfort, and convenience made our stay unforgettable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing and enjoyable getaway, and we are already looking forward to returning again.

“Beautiful Hotel, cleanest food handling but not a 5* experience .”

With just a 15 minute transfer it’s perfect after a 6 hr flight. Hotel is spacious and opulent as you would expect from a 5*. Bedrooms were bright, clean and spacious with tea and coffee in the room. With just a 15 minute transfer it’s perfect after a 6 hr flight. Hotel is spacious and opulent as you would expect from a 5*. Bedrooms were bright, clean and spacious with tea and coffee in the room. The bedrooms are locates either side of long clean corridors which can be very noisy due to echo. Pools were very noisy , however there is a huge pool for over 14’s and the lifeguards were very strict on this with ample comfortable sun beds and parasols. This pool was freezing. There is NO reserving sun beds which was great. Restaurants: Here is where it lost its fifth star for us. Don’t get me wrong it has to be the cleanest restaurant with regards food handling I’ve seen in Egypt. Food is covered in clingfilm and all staff were gloves. The waiting staff are courteous, friendly and so hard working. Tables and floors cleared and cleaned quickly. However, the main buffet restaurant was like being at Butlins having to join long queues to get food. If the food you wanted was in the 6th cloche then heaven forbid you didn’t wait in the queue to get to it. Noise levels were off the scale for all meals which made you eat and go. I had hoped evening meal would be more as expected from 5* with tablecloths etc but you just received a cloth napkin. After 3 days we found SKY restaurant. Not so much choice but amazing views and oh so much quieter. You can visit the alacarte (not all open when we went due to renovations) but we went to Tagine which was a Moroccan experience with the most amazing 4 course meal. Can’t rate it highly enough. Food and service. Thank you. The steak restaurant (beach restaurant) food was great but again Butlins or school style tables. Coffee Shop was to die for..just like being in Paris with so much to choose from. Medical: There is a clinic on site and a chemist below the hotel for those of us that were unfortunate enough to get a dodgy belly. Would I go back ? For me no but just because on holiday I like a bit of proper restaurant service for my evening meal. One other negative which I found offensive was that at any time whilst at the reception desk requiring assistance, as soon as someone came up to the desk that spoke their own language the staff would immediately stop speaking and go and deal with them first and leave you to wait.

Overall, we were very happy here - great place to go if you have a family because everything is taken care of. Good things: the rooms and all areas are kept very clean. You are allowed to use the waterpark at the other hotel. Most of the staff are friendly and go above and beyond when you tip. The food was pretty good for all inclusive and the wine was also better than other places I’ve been. The animators are awesome and fun - and so friendly and happy and great with the kids (thanks Eli!). There are plenty of things to do here so you don’t really have to go outside the hotel. The scuba diving was organized on site and we had a private boat and great guide (thanks Tiger!). If you are looking for a good store to shop at with no stress, there is one at the other Pickalbatros Hotel where the guy is super nice and leave you alone. There are lots of pools for adults and kids (both warmer and colder) and the beach is small but very nice. Not so good: certain staff very unfriendly (spa reception and normal reception for example), the sushi was amazing and main guy doing it so friendly but the line was sooooo long (maybe have 3 people doing it?), when you’re at the pool area people are asking a lot if you want to book tours, even if you already had one and just wanna relax there, on the way to the kids club there are shops were you also can’t get past without being asked every time you walk by to come in. They started renovating the Asian restaurant pretty early in our stay which we didn’t know in advance, the internet connection is very hit or miss. All in all I would come back again on a family vacation! Thanks for the great time! :)
