Location, location, location. A beautiful, clean hotel that met all our requirements for a very nice stay. Helpful, professional staff. Safe neighborhood within walking distance of Monorail, light rail, Space Needle, Pike’s Place Market, and riverfront.

Hotel was much better than I expected! I don’t know why the website photos of the room left me with the impression that the rooms weren’t going to be that good, but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s no Regency, but I am not at all disappointed as someone who is used to the modernity of the Regency. My only compliants in regards to the room is the windows. I had a pretty decent view (not space needle) but the curtains blocked out most of the view as they didn’t open all the way. Second, the same curtains. They don’t do much in the way of blacking out the light. I need a pitch black room to be able to sleep and the curtains let in a lot of light. As for the location, I truly think it was the only thing I didn’t like about this hotel. Yes, it’s super close to the space needle, and having a Walgreens across the street is very convenient… but something about it left me missing the location of the Regency. Next time I’m planning a trip to Seattle (I visit often) the choice between Regency or Place will solely come down to location for me. I have no complaints on the breakfast. Though, admittedly, I have never stayed at a hotel with free breakfast. As a very picky eater with a child’s food palette, I can confidently say the breakfast passed the test. There is so much variety and everything that I ate was very good. Just wish the waffles were an everyday staple. And the breakfast staff were very helpful and attentive! The staff was so friendly and helpful. They’re a bit snobby at the Regency and I never realized how nice it would be to stay in a place where the staff is more welcoming and friendly haha. I know I said my only complaint was the curtains, but I’ve thought of a couple more: The price of the “meals” at the market. I love that the market is 24/7 which is something I always hated about the Regency. But the prices of the food are too much. At the regency I can usually get a hot meal from the market for either the same price or in some cases less than here. And at this hotel, it’s just microwaveable food. I included a picture of the prices. The laundry room. While I am so grateful they even have laundry facilities (it’s just one washer and one dryer), the smell in there was unbearable. I can’t even put my finger on what it is. But it smelled hot so I’m assuming it’s coming from the dryer. I had to keep my foot propped on the door to let some air in. Regardless, for the price, this hotel is SO worth it!

“A good room but a lackluster experience”

Great room layout. Compact but well thought out. AC system could be better, but it does the job. Main issue is Wifi stability and the breakfast. Wifi had no internet access a lot of the time.
