We stayed at the H10 Timanfaya Palace Hotel when we arrived we were upgraded to a superior room which was lovely but a little tired in some areas although it was very clean the location is excellent for us you can walk to the lighthouse or the other way into Playa Blanca both great walks if you’re fit. The hotel has different activities going on but you don’t need to join in and the evening entertainment is great we stay upstairs in the piano bar listening to various artists people dancing to the guitarist was brilliant the only downside I would say is the food this was are 3rd time staying at the hotel I don’t think the theme nights are up to much but it wouldn’t stop us from going again what makes this hotel so good are the staff they are amazing incredible fantastic they all go above and beyond to make your stay a fabulous one not just the bar and restaurant staff but all the ancillary staff who keep the hotel running

We were recommended this hotel by some friends and I'm pleased to say it lived up to expectations. Spotlessly clean with friendly, attentive staff. Some in particular had a great sense of humour (Angel and the newly appointed Mohamed were very good examples). Unlike some hotels, the sunbed policy (no reserving sunbeds before 9.30) is actually enforced. You can sit on your sunbed as early as you want but don't reserve them before 9.30 There was one minor issue but I have contacted the hotel directly to report this as I'm sure it can be dealt with quickly and without fuss There is little I can add to the positive reviews other than to increase the 5 star / excellent ratings

Really enjoyed our week here, lovely big room, over looking the pool. Like most people,we arrived in the morning and had to wait for our room. We chose to wait in the bar by the pool and we were able to access our room just after 2pm. LOVELY BIG bed, room cleaned daily, fresh towels as and when needed. We did all inclusive and enjoyed the al a carte during our stay, which was fantastic. Loved the cocktails and the coffee shop. Food in the main buffet resturant was good in particular the cooking stations at the back. We had a few issues while here but the staff and TUI reps couldnt do enough for us, they had things sorted within minutes, no request was to much trouble. We loved the bar by reception and the bar by the pool. Great vibes at both, with music and dancing. Very generous with the spirits 😍 and they never once left you waiting for a drink, not once. The best thing about this hotel? The staff! Every single one of them, the bar staff of an evening were an absolute pleasure. they had already been in the pool bar working and transfered to the main bar of an evening. They loved a dance and chat, i can see why people keep going back. A very grown up, quiet hotel which we would return to.

We stayed at the H10 Timanfaya Palace in Lanzarote from 27th April for a week, and overall it’s a bit of a mixed experience — some genuinely lovely aspects, but also a few that really let it down. Starting with the positives, the rooms are spacious, airy and very clean, with nice complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Mike’s Coffee on site is a real standout — excellent frappes, iced coffees and delicious cakes. The all-inclusive package is also good value, with branded spirits and beers included, and cocktails made fresh rather than from pre-mixed machines. There are plenty of sun loungers, so no early-morning rush, and the location is beautiful — set in a quieter, more secluded spot overlooking the sea, with a lovely promenade walk into Playa Blanca. However, there are some clear drawbacks. The hotel has a very quiet, older feel — most guests seemed to be well into their 70s — so if you’re expecting a lively or modern atmosphere, this probably isn’t the right fit. The food in the restaurant was average at best. While there’s variety, it becomes repetitive, with overcooked meat and fish, bland vegetables, and disappointing soups and desserts (especially the gelatine options). There were occasional highlights, particularly some of the cakes and tarts, but not enough to lift the overall standard. One issue that really stood out — and honestly left a sour taste — was the sunbed policy. If you leave your lounger before 9:30am, even briefly for breakfast or a walk, staff will remove your towels and personal belongings and take them to an office. Retrieving them isn’t just inconvenient — it feels unnecessarily humiliating. You’re left having to approach staff, explain yourself, and effectively do a walk of shame to collect your things, only to then be charged for the privilege. It felt disproportionate and quite uncomfortable, and definitely not what you expect from a supposedly relaxing 4-star experience. Other minor points: although there’s a Nespresso machine in the room, you have to pay extra for the pods, and ours didn’t arrive until two days after requesting them. The evening entertainment is very low quality — often out-of-tune singers that end up being more unintentionally amusing than enjoyable. Cocktails are extremely sweet, often needing dilution, and the pool was freezing during our stay (though that may improve later in the season). Overall, this is an average 4-star hotel with some nice touches, but also some frustrating shortcomings. The staff themselves are generally friendly and professional, which makes the stricter policies feel even more at odds with the otherwise relaxed setting. It’s easy to see why it appeals to repeat older guests who enjoy familiarity and a slower pace, but for others, it may fall short.
