“Excellent location”

Excellent location , reception really helpful, but rooms just a little too small for comfort . Ideal for sightseeing in the centre of Copenhagen. Small walk to pubs and restaurants. Don't use the taxis as their 'special rate' is too expensive.

It is definitely a value conscious hotel. We paid $200 per night (which is below average in Coppenhagen), so were not expecting a 5 star hotel. The rooms are exceedingly small (~130 sq. ft) for a 4 person room. There is no storage space for luggage and the bathroom doubles as a shower. You must squeegee the floor after a shower so no one slips when they use the washroom. Our first night we woke up at 1 a.m. unable to sleep because of the heat (there is no A/C) and our window only opened 5 cm. We walked outside at 1 a.m. to get some fresh air and saw that some rooms had their windows wide open. TID-BIT: there is a small latch that requires a device or tiny fingers to flip so you can open the window. No one told us about it, but we eventually figured out where and how. There is no housekeeping, so don't expect your bed to be made, fresh linens, nor regular fresh towels. In a 4 night stay, we had one set of towels provided to us. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. It is probably the hallmark of the hotel. They have a map of the area and are very good at providing recommendations of places to eat or visit. The location is another positive attribute, as it's in walking distance to the Forum metro line, Tivoli garden, and the City Hall. It is also in walking distance to the Rosenborg Castle, the Christiansburg Palace, and Amalienborg. I would not recommend for a family larger than 2-3 people with luggage, as it's too cramped with little space for storage or moving around comfortably. If you do end up going, I would recommend staying on the 1st floor in the summer or hotter months, as the lack of AC can make it very hot in the rooms. The best part of our visit was the front desk staff and the location.

We had a room at the top of the 3rd floor under the roof where, despite wide open windows, it was so violently humid and warm that only one person out of 4 got to sleep. As my little brother said in the morning when we got out of bed, it was better than lying on a bench. To offer people something that is so poorly isolated and ventilated is thoughtlessly and a mystery. The breakfast was very spartan, no sausages or bacon and scrambled eggs were made from some egg powder. Juice was the cheapest imaginable and could only be drank with distress and hardly. Coffee was too strong. The cheese, on the other hand, was good. All in all, not a particularly good place - one can use it in case of emergency if nothing else. Otherwise, the advice is to stay away.

“Great value if you don't mind small”

If you are going to be out sightseeing, and just need a place to sleep and get back out again, this is the bargain spot. Room was tiny, but sufficient to get rest in. Microbathroom. Think of a train sleeper cabin and you get the idea. It was clean, and the breakfast was good
