We did not stay in the hotel building - we stayed in the apartments. Our apartment was spacious, clean and well-stocked. The view from our apartment was beautiful. The only challenge is walking up the very steep, very long, flight of steps to reach the apartments as they are located on the street above and behind the hotel. We did have a taxi arriving and departing so we did not have to haul our luggage up the steps (except inside). If you are driving, there is a road that goes around and up - "up" being the key word - and there is parking for the apartments. The hotel/apartments are very well located and steps and hills are just something you have to get used to in Fort William. We did pay for breakfast at the hotel one morning (not included w/apartments). It was ok - got the job done.

“A room with no view and construction from 7:45 am to 7:45 pm”

I am writing this at 7:45 in the morning. There are already workers using tools on the adjacent building, which is under renovation. They were working up until almost 8 o’clock last night. Our room is directly beside this building. We have no view. It is a shame to downgrade an establishment for so… more

I am writing this at 7:45 in the morning. There are already workers using tools on the adjacent building, which is under renovation. They were working up until almost 8 o’clock last night. Our room is directly beside this building. We have no view. It is a shame to downgrade an establishment for something that it cannot control, but I really would have appreciated a heads up that we were being placed directly beside the construction. We also have the disability bathroom, which is a little disconcerting. I would like to return after construction is completed, and request a room with a view.

“Decent rooms but poor experience in general.”

Rooms were grand. However, we found the staff to be inflexible and indifferent to some issues we encountered. Multiple instances of "not our problem", and a general feeling of our business not being appreciated despite bringing thirty room-nights to the hotel for our trip. Wouldn't use again.

We had a Disability access room. Although, non of our party had disabilities, We booked in error. The wet room was very modern and clean. We had a Disability access room. Although, non of our party had disabilities, We booked in error. The wet room was very modern and clean. However, we felt the shower was situated too close to the door to the room. The water didn’t drain too well away from the sink and door. We had to wear some form of footwear for going in and out to use the toilet after showering. Also, there was a bad smell coming from the carpet. Possibly due to the excess water on the souls of peoples feet going back and forth after showering. Unfortunately, we arrived during construction work that was ongoing right outside our window. We were woke suddenly with loud banging and construction workers shouting to each other at approximately 07:15hrs on the morning after finishing the West Highland Way. There was a small window opened that we struggled to reach. Given this was a room specifically for someone with disabilities, it was not ideal. In addition they do not offer evening meals. There were plenty of eating places along the Main Street, including takeaways. Indian and Chinese which we highly recommend. On a positive note. The location was ideal as it was a few hundred yards walk from the end of the WHW monument.
