“Best room”

Have stayed many times at this hotel. And this time was amazing. Best room ever, 1613. Amazing views. And not so much noise from the motorway on this side. Very clean. New automated curtains closing button, lights and mood music was funny.

We had a fantastic weekend in London and were really impressed with this hotel. The rooms were comfortable and the fun, quirky décor gave the whole place a great personality. The room had everything you could want, with a good coffee machine and a generous tea selection — though a few complimentary snacks would have been a nice extra. The funky design continues throughout the hotel, which we absolutely loved. The hotel bar is a real highlight too: stylish, lively and a great place to unwind, even if the drinks are on the pricier side. Breakfast was outstanding. The quality of the produce was excellent and the selection was huge — genuinely something for everyone. The only slight disappointment was the rather weak orange juice, but that’s a small detail in an otherwise brilliant spread. What really made the stay special was the staff. Everyone we encountered was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. It made the whole experience feel warm and effortless. For central London, we thought the hotel offered great value for money. Overall, a fabulous stay and we’d happily return.

“Modern hotel excellent staff”

Just back from a 2 night stay here, fabulous modern rooms with all the extras, shower amazing and very comfy bed. Only criticism is that while having drinks in the lounge the tables were not cleared of used cups and glasses, staff at bar unaware of drinks and no check back at breakfast , small deta… more

Just back from a 2 night stay here, fabulous modern rooms with all the extras, shower amazing and very comfy bed. Only criticism is that while having drinks in the lounge the tables were not cleared of used cups and glasses, staff at bar unaware of drinks and no check back at breakfast , small details but jist what we noticed. Car park underneath £37 per night, breakfast £27 per person but had everything you could have wanted, hot food though not too hot. Will stay again, btw reception staff were fabulous well done!!!

“Quirky hotel but not in the best location”

This hotel is located adjacent to a modern estate. There nothing of note around the hotel, but if you walk 10mins you will get to Angel station and Camden Passage. This hotel is located adjacent to a modern estate. There nothing of note around the hotel, but if you walk 10mins you will get to Angel station and Camden Passage. Shoreditch and Brick Lane are about a 30mins walk although the bus stop is not far and there's a Santander Cycles bike hire stand just outside the hotel. Our experience with reception was a lacklustre and flat experience. We were not offered anything extra despite being GHA Discovery Titanium members and we received no help when we later complained about the room being too hot (the centrally controlled air conditioning system was set on heat mode rather than cool mode). We did like the quirkiness of the hotel which was definitely a nod to the late Vivienne Westwood. Our room was an average size with a street view, and included amenities such as a coffee machine and robes (but no slippers). Overall, the hotel was fine for a one night stay but we expected more given all the positive reviews.
