Overall, I would absolutely go back to this resort and my husband would too. I would begin with the not-so -perfect… and there wasn’t a lot of not-so-perfect. The spot reservation at the adult pool in the mornings was tricky. There were pool security guards removing items that were reserving chairs before 7 am. My husband knew that so he just hung out until seven and then came and got me from the room for breakfast. Other things of note that did not affect us, but definitely could’ve been dealbreakers for people travelling with young families…the buffet was closed the last few days we were there and of course that’s a place you want go when you have little kids that are picky and then the little kids’ pirate splash park, which was pretty amazing….it was also closed for renovations the last few days we were there…so there were definitely some disappointed and upset families over that. On to the positive… The beach was beautiful. The water was warm. We had a few days with absolutely no sargassum. We could walk north and south of our resort on the beach for a long way without shoes, so that was fantastic and the beach was wide, without wave tamers or seaweed catchers to obscure the view. There were only dividers on the left and right side of the beach as you’re looking out to the ocean. We did not end up getting the room location I was hoping for, however, the room itself was really nice. We did actually get two sinks. They were opposite from each with tons of room to put all my girl stuff. The bed was really comfortable. It was a king-size with really cool embedded lights in the headboard. The shower had a rain showerhead and a regular shower sprayer as well as a shelf for your toiletries. Room also had lots of luggage and closet space. Appreciated. I don’t travel light. The lazy river was totally a bonus. I loved it. You can bring your own floaties, which I would suggest doing because those inner tubes are tricky to get in and out of. It wasn’t crowded. Lots of fun, beautiful setting …definitely a highlight. The entertainment we did catch was good. We saw a water show just for the adults at the adult pool in the evening. Also caught a fire show just for the adults just off the beach by the bar that’s by the adult section. We watched the circus show and Michael Jackson shows in main area. One thing I did find confusing was figuring out where the shows were and what they were about, however, when we managed to find where they were and see them, they were great. The food was absolutely the highlight for me. I have been to several all-inclusives and the food is ok… here the food was really consistently good. We went to every single restaurant and a couple of them twice. Standouts would be the Indian and the Italian The buffet was also really good with things like “pick your seafood and have it grilled for you”. There was also an ice cream cart outside the buffet for lunches and dinners that had a rotating list of available ice creams. The ice cream was really good and they had my favourite flavours like coconut, dulce-de-leche and cappuccino. The other nice thing was they do have a reasonably good menu for the 24 hour room service so we enjoyed breakfast in our room almost every day and it was consistently good. The service was probably the best service we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive …from the service at the restaurants, the buffet and poolside drink service. I did go to the front desk guest services a few times just for small things and the service there was really good ….from helping me with a shoe that broke (thank you Alma and Fernanda) to exchanging money for smaller denominations. Also visited the onsite doctor…24 hours…zero wait. :) Overall, everyone that we dealt with was really, really good. Would definitely return.

“Nice midrange/mainstream resort with some nice perks and great staff”

We spent almost a week here as 3 couples with Adult Scene StarClass swimout rooms, we had a great time. Staff were excellent, especially our StarClass Butlers Angel and Edwar, and Cabana servers Carlos "BadBoy" and Roger. Food was good to decent depending on your tastes and where you ate, Teppanyaki was our groups favorite.
