First place we stayed on arrival from UK. Having been in the country for a few weeks now I can say that this hotel offers great value for money. It’s a little tired in places and hopefully Marriott will put some money in to sprucing it up. The food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner is excellent quality. The staff are really friendly and efficient and it’s relatively easy and cheap via Grab to get to any location in the city.

“Tries its best but needs renovating”

Stayed here for 3 nights, rather out of the way ,with not much around sightseeing wise. About an hour from airport. Lobby /entrance is lovely, but unfortunately rooms are dated and in need of some renovation ,as are other parts of the hotel, like the grounds near the river. Beds are hard and pillows are high and hard, so had to request softer pillows. These were delivered into room one the day they were requested. Swimming pool is basic with hardly any shade and no parasols ,so baking in the Thai heat. Breafast is a mix of Thai and european, and was okayish. Staff try there hardest but they struggle sometimes to understand English, but they are very polite and willing to help in anyway. Would I stay here again ?; probably not ,as would pick a more central hotel.

“Christmas New Year enjoyable.”

We found the staff to be very friendly but lacking in english. The entire hotel was extremely clean. The hotel itself requires restoration. Unfortunately it really feels outdated and rundown. We found the staff to be very friendly but lacking in english. The entire hotel was extremely clean. The hotel itself requires restoration. Unfortunately it really feels outdated and rundown. We were told the Marriot Bonvoy had taken over and it looks like the restoration may take place in June this year. The rooms were big we had rooms 2520 and 2522 on level 25 with views of the Chao Praya River. Trying to regulate the shower was a chore in itself. The grounds on the river once again are in dire need of lots of tropical planting and updated seating and tables with umbrellas. At the moment there are an abundance of chairs and tables but they are so outdated and the ground look so run down. The pool is located on level 6 the atmosphere is terrible. To be honest it should be relocated to the outdoor grounds downstairs which overlook the river, with loads of tropical planting it would be the perfect spot! The gym located on level 6 is quite adequate, there are steam rooms in both the men's and women's change rooms. Massages are availabe as well at reasonable prices. The cafe located opposite reception makes the best coffee and has a great selection of sandwiches, salads, cakes and cold drinks. We dined at the hotels restaurant and they had a good selection of food options. There is also a Chinese Restaurant in the building I think it was level 4. We did not eat there but it looked good. Located right nextdoor to the property is Terminal 21 which has heaps of restaurants and shopping. It takes about 3 minutes to walk there. We dined at Fam Time which is Italian and ZEED which is Thai food from the Esarn province. Let's relax spa is a fabulous plae to go for a massage. My favorite lady to massage me was Meeka. My husband and I had two massages whilst we were there aromatherapy 60 minutes cost us $106 for the two of us.

We had two stays at this property on our arrival to Bangkok and just before our departure. The property wasnt very well located. There was nothing around the hotel to do and it wasnt very close to anything. The rooms were lovely. They were clean and spacious and ours had a fantastic view over the river. I would have given this property a higher rating but the food and beverage service was horrendous. It was like they had no staff on. Breakfast was a buffet like most of these properties but things were always running low/out and were not getting replaced (like milk for the tea and coffee). On the two occasions we ate there (because there was nowhere else close by to eat) we had to wait both times for over any hour to get our food and we were having to get up and find staff to order drinks. For a hotel this size it was really poor.
