My holiday at Iberostar Waves Mehari Djerba was wonderful. The weather was excellent throughout our stay, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. We were warmly welcomed with refreshing wet towels and cold lemonade, which was a lovely touch after the journey. The check-in process was fairly quick and smooth. The food was not extremely varied, but it was good, and you can always find something to suit your taste—especially the desserts, which were really delicious. I highly recommend the Prestige Room for adults without children, as it offers access to a rooftop mini swimming pool where it’s much quieter and more relaxing. There are drinks available, a coffee machine, toilets, and a waiter who regularly comes to ask if you need anything. We were served by Ahmed, who was always kind, professional, and attentive. The beach is a bit far from the hotel, and unfortunately, it was not very clean. There was quite a lot of dried seaweed on the shore. In the restaurant, the waiters do not come to serve you or ask what you would like to drink—you need to take a glass and help yourself from the dispensers. Also, the floor around the drink dispensers is damaged in some areas and could be a tripping hazard. For a 4-star hotel, everything is generally well organized and clean. However, some small improvements could be made, especially regarding the restaurant floor, which is damaged in certain places. Overall, I had a great time and would recommend this hotel. It’s clear that the manager is doing her best to ensure guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. Thank you to the Iberostar team for a successful and enjoyable holiday. I truly felt great and I will definitely return.

Its good hotel, fair food menus,. towels of hotels for pool are so small, boutique of hotel is expensive comparing city center. its complicated to find a place if you go late to swimming pool kids side. Its good hotel, fair food menus,. towels of hotels for pool are so small, boutique of hotel is expensive comparing city center. its complicated to find a place if you go late to swimming pool kids side. Animation at night is so fun for kids specially,. People at cafe corner are so nice & quick. Cleaning lady her name is Bassama so kind & prepared our bedroom for my kid with towel in different shapes, all workers they are so helpful.

Here atm and the hotel is very nice, the garden is beautifully laid out and maintained, most of the staff are pleasant and friendly and the food is plentiful and tasty. Sadly the beach is a real let down. One of the only places where the seaweed is not removed but left piled up on the beach, which makes it not only difficult to get into the water but also to walk along , especially for elderly people. Camel droppings are plenty and are not being removed either, you need to be careful not stepping into either rubbish or poop. Bearing in mind that this hotel is popular for families with small children this is extremely disappointing and not acceptable. Iberostar prides itself for sustainability and supporting the ecosystem, which is great but you come here for the beautiful beaches and to swim in the sea. There is also plastic and metal debris left from the nearby building sides and what the sea brings ashore. There are plenty of other ways to protect shore and the ecosystem, especially since all other neighbouring hotels do clear the beach . It also seems to be a breeding ground for flies. The island itself seems rather dirty, the worst I 've seen during my travels, there are plastic bottles and building rubbish left on every corner, so I would start there, rather than piling the seaweed up on the beach. As to the rooms, they are not very big but modern and clean, the bathroom is on the small side. It would be great to have some light curtains to the balcony to keep the insects / flies out rather than merely heavy blackout curtains. We couldn't make the air-con work , so had to open the balcony doors for fresh air at night. The premium pool is more a jacuzzi without the jets and has not enough loungers. Evening entertainment of good standard but very repetitive and again not enough seating for everyone. Not much else to do in the evening. Plenty of families with young children but still quiet and peaceful atmosphere. The beach restaurant is very nice , the main restaurant is rather noisy during peak time. Nice facilities for those who like to play tennis , There is an area for beach volleyball, mini golf, boule and other sports activities, a dedicated kids pool, so great for families and large main swimming pool but we prefer swimming in the sea, so planning of moving to another hotel.
