After nearly 10 hours of travel from Agra, we finally reached Pashan Garh, where we spent the next two days, and it was absolutely worth the journey. This stunning safari lodge served as our base as we ventured into the park in search of the elusive tiger. The setting is breathtaking, with just 12 private cottages spread across a large property, making it feel peaceful, secluded, and truly special. From the moment we arrived, the service was flawless, and the food was fantastic. Everything here has been outstanding: the rooms, the staff, the meals, and the overall experience. It’s one of those places where you instantly wish you had booked a few more days. Truly an unforgettable stay.

This is definitely one of the best safari hotels in the world. I had visited for the first time exactly a year ago, and I was looking for an opportunity to return to this haven amidst the beautiful Panna National Reserve. The property is just 14-15 cottages and is maintained in a raw natural setting. Taj has built Pashangarh within the 200 acre land reserve that they keep untouched within the Panna National Park. The drive to the main lodge of the hotel from the main gate is through a raw paved section of the forest. There is an unexplainable sense of thrill and excitement right from the moment you enter the main gate. All the staff members gather around and wave your arrival in a manner that is signature to Taj Safaris. For my stay, we had arrived just on time to quickly check-in and depart for the afternoon safari. The hotel very graciously arranged for a packed lunch, without us even having to ask for it. During my stays, I experienced many such surprise gestures. We experienced a very romantic candle night dinner under the trees while being served some delectable local cuisine. Our wonderfully appointed cottage was kept ready for our arrival post dinner. The cottage was very spacious and was adorned with large ceiling two floor windows on 2 sides. Essentially, there was glass on 3 sides and sleeping at night is an unreal experience with all the blinds open. It felt as if I was sleeping in the forest, while being to subjected to the utmost standards of luxury there was to offer. The bathroom and wardrobe were almost as large as the bedroom. The whole setup was excellent and the private sit-out with gazebo was also accessible from the bathroom. My only point to note was that there was considerable delay in getting hot water from the shower. This was not the case with the two sink taps, where hot water came instantly. Barring this, there is no short-coming in this property. The place is wonderful, and the service even better. I look forward to my return to this special Safari hotel again in the future.

We had a wonderful experience. The hotel and safari teams are well synchronized. The staff is extremely attentive and pay attention to the smallest detail. The lodgings are very spacious, elegantly appointed and give a feeling of quiet luxury. The Safari was also a great experience because we got to see tigers on two different days and enjoyed our picnic breakfasts. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and in future would like to go back and stay at different Taj properties.

This is a resort with 12 rooms. It has a swimming pool pool but being that the weather was cold only tigers seemed to come and enjoy the water! You could hear tigers and deer’s distress calls from your room! Staff is superb. Our naturalist Debisbish was really dedicated to his career and was a great person to go on safari with. I like Africa the safari is a little rough on your back. Taj uses their own jeeps. As far as food goes I have not had a better experience except for other Taj hotels. Chef cooked whatever we wanted. They make their own bread. Their brownies are to die for. If you go there don’t tip individuals. Put money in the community tip and tip them generously. Most of the staff has been with Taj for extended time. Mr Deboshish insisted that he could not accept any money and asked us to put it in the community tip box! I paid electronically. They have no TV which you should not need.
